Description
There are some really lovely models in this part of the kit: the novitiates themselves are wondrously detailed, and there are so many weapons and other customisation options across the kit to make each one really unique. The majority of the plastic – 8 sprues, to be exact – is for terrain, and there are a couple of duplicates in there. Three of the sprues are in there twice, and two of the scenery sprues are unique. The other 4 are for your Novitiates and Pathfinders two apiece. Free actions can only be performed when another rule specifies. Each time an operative would perform a free action, the following rules apply.
The Kill Team Core Book is included in both the Octarius box and a digest version will be available in the Kill Team Starter Set. But if you already have all of your own accessories, you can start playing with this and your own dice and measuring tool. Kill Team Killzone Essentials From a narrative standpoint, there’s a ton of cool stuff about this terrain, which can be used to build some very cool features and add interesting add-ons to existing features. There aren’t enough “whole, complete buildings” in the 40k terrain library and while that makes sense from the standpoint of building terrain you can interact with in 40k, it also makes things a little boring when you can’t have a battle in a yet-to-be-destroyed part of a city or planet. But it isn’t all good news, as some of the changes caused a bit of a stir in the community. For those who don’t want to read the detailed breakdown I provided of the changes and some of the issues that followed in their wake, the issues could be boiled down to the following: This past weekend we talked about the box contents and new kill team rules in Kill Team Chalnath, showcasing the exciting new Sororitas Novitates and Pathfinders kill teams. Today we’re looking at the other, less-heralded rules in the box: The Spec Ops campaign rules for Chalnath. Cadre Mercenary Kill Team (partially replaced by the Kroot Farstalker Kinband kill team in the Into the Dark book)This month’s White Dwarf joins in with the Kill Team fun with a set of rules for fielding Harlequins in the skirmish combat game. There are also 18 Kill Team Tac Ops cards, a Total War: Warhammer III poster, new Warhammer Age of Sigmar rules for the Blades of Khorne , and much more! Purge the Unclean requires you to win six games, then finish a game after scoring the “Purge with Flame” Tac Op. Do that and you get bonus XP, bonus RP for how many dudes you set on fire, and bonus XP for operatives carrying inferno weapons.
