However, in late 2009, EMI Music released the album "Now Dance" in Spain, which contains all the biggest dance hits in Spain during 2009, including Lady Gaga, David Guetta featuring Kelly Rowland, The Black Eyed Peas and Katy Perry, among others. In February 2023, 12" mixes all taken from the first three Now Dance compilations, originally released in 1985, 1986 and 1989, were collected on a special 4CD and 3LP set, Now Dance: The 80s, with artwork inspired by the original Now Dance 86. Certainly a very good volume in the series which introduced us to major artists like Rihanna and Pussycat Dolls who would go on to feature many more times in the series.

My disc 2 favourite is then the absolutely stunning 'Fix You' by Coldplay <3 I used to regard it as my favourite of all-time but it's 3rd nowadays behind 'Another Chance' and 'Feel Good Inc'.

In 2010, it was announced that total sales of the series, not counting the extra editions, topped one million copies in Portugal. The two series co-existed for the rest of the 1980s, and when Universal (formerly PolyGram from Now 8 in 1986 through to Now 42 in 1999) joined the collaboration, the Now!

Each of the first 29 volumes received at least a platinum certification, and 18 albums from the series have reached number one on the Billboard 200 albums chart, more than any individual recording artist except the Beatles. These collections of pop hits are quickly becoming collectable items with people looking out for different numbers, particulary the earlier ones. They are also notable as being the first time a Now series had released a compilation of hits from the years 1980 to 1982. quite odd that Disc 2 is better than Disc 1 here, but there is an overload of forgettable pop on the first disc, at least we have some more urban and dance on disc 2.Its success has led to two more branded channels exploring decades, Now 90s on 27 December 2017, replacing Chilled TV, and Now 70s on 27 December 2019, replacing Total Country.

The track listings on the Mexican albums are only slightly different from those of the Argentine ones. The series is one of the highest selling compilations in New Zealand music history ( RIANZ) with multi-platinum album sales. They contained music videos, some for tracks featured on the accompanying album and others for tracks not on the album. The compilation series was conceived in the office of Virgin Records in London and took its name from a 1920s British advertising poster for Danish bacon featuring a pig saying "Now. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.

July 2019) re-issued on 2-CD - 28 tracks with only Bob Marley and the Wailers and Gary Glitter missing. Due to the higher cost of pressing vinyl and the limited time they are available, they are at least three times more expensive than their compact disc counterparts.

Branson wrote, "He was notoriously grumpy before breakfast and loved his eggs in the morning, so I bought him the poster, framed it and had it hung behind his desk.In November 2018, the Now team took over the " 100 Hits" brand from Demon Music Group, and in 2019 and 2020, the Special Editions series was effectively rested while 24 different Now 100 Hits compilations were issued in very quick succession, until the end of November 2020. The 1990s Yearbook series contains a new retro-90s logo design and artwork which also complements its sister decade series. The presentation of each release has evolved notably over time: from 1986 through to 2013, all double and triple CD sets were released in chubby Jewel cases which could hold up to 6 discs.
