I just don’t want to take any risk of damaging them. If you do want to clean the cutters with the brush, make sure to be very gentle and only brush with the direction of the blades, never across them (longitudinally).

So I bought one year ago the Panasonic Arc 5 the aluminum edition and I’m very happy with it. However I think it would be good to have a new shaver and I’m between the Andis resurge and the Babyliss fx2 silver. My first sahver was a Philips Norelco, it was not the best but it was enough for my first years of growing a beard. Tip: if you’re a barber, get the Andis ProFoil Plus Titanium (17200) instead of the regular ProFoil. It has a very grippy rubber sleeve and a handy charging stand and costs only slightly more. This BaBylissPRO works really well for that, although I would have preferred slightly narrower foils. I think lubricating the cutters twice a week should suffice and ensure optimal performance while also reducing friction and heat. For home users, these features don’t really make a big difference, but for a professional, they’re really nice to have.
