Description

For many years, NUK First Choice has been the first choice for bottle feeding modelled on breastfeeding. With NUK First Choice + we have managed to get even closer to nature – for healthy jaw development and a drinking sensation as if at a mother’s breast.

Polypropylene is a translucent, synthetic material, which is used by NUK for the manufacture of BPA-free baby bottles. Its smooth surface ensures that it is pleasant to touch. It is notably shatterproof and is even suitable for freezing. The transparent sleeve is BPA-free and gives every bottle a new look. Clean the sleeve by rinsing thoroughly by hand. One of the oldest materials known to man is also used by NUK in the production of baby bottles. Glass is particularly hygienic and heat- resistant. In this process, NUK uses only borosilicate glass, which, with its cross-linked surface structure, wears well and withstands variations in temperature. Tip: so that you and your child can be happy with the plastic bottles for a long time, we would recommend that you do not warm up or disinfect the bottles in the microwave. NUK Baby Bottles are well suited to being boiled and sterilised with steam.

Using glass as a material for your baby’s bottle removes all worry about chemicals leaching into their milk, as it’s naturally free of toxicity. Polyamide are synthetic materials with a high level of transparency, which it retains by being chemical-resistant – discolouring and clouding are a thing of the past. Polyamide is BPA-free, but not suitable for the microwave however. When you think of a glass bottle, you probably think of a milk bottle, which shatters dangerously if you drop it. Considering how many times you and your baby will drop their bottle – we know how clumsy you get on 3 hours sleep after all – you want to make sure that a glass baby bottle can withstand babyhood. Plus, the initial thought of giving your baby something made of glass can make you shiver. Bottles made from polypropylene have a milky transparency, are particularly sturdy and can even be used for freezing food. Baby bottles made from polyamides look the most like glass bottles as they are highly transparent. Both synthetic materials are of course BPA-free. Here are the best bottles our editors have highlighted through research. And it's all supported by our parents in the BabyCentre community.
