I was surprised at how comfortable I found the inverse trident design of the original controller, something I didn't expect after 20 years (! Due to the wireless technology, the memory paks are loaded into the included wireless dongle and are not inserted into the controller itself.

The reason why standard N64 D-Pad at the time felt so good in hand was due to its larger radius in the corners. In terms of build quality, the Brawler64 is sturdily built, and it's clear that Retro Fighters prioritized durability when designing this product.Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. Each movement is very responsive and I did not feel any dead space with the joystick, making precise movements very easy. The biggest star is the show however goes to the analogue stick , it’s ultra smooth , no dead zone at all, highly accurate, moving it in any direction in tiny increments is no problem at all, this goes far and above the original stick. I haven't had this much fun playing my retro consoles in years, retro fighters is a must have for any retro gamer! The only reason I give this 4 stars instead of 5 is lack of N64 expansion compatibility and rumble features.

This is another controller that is sadly difficult to source something that is wireless, which is odd given Microsoft's back compatibility programme for the newer Xbox models.

At some point, I may have to consider getting two additional brawler controllers for multiplayer GoldenEye. I initially purchased it to use for my first playthrough of Goldeneye 007 but since I have found it to be a great choice not only for N64 games but also SNES, Genesis, and even Dreamcast games! I played many, many games last night to get a good feeling for how this controller feels and performs, and wanted to share my feedback. Removing these controllers is probably the biggest downside as both of mine are a bit difficult to remove. Providing a new and comfortable way to play your favorite classic N64 games, the next gen styled controller has a completely updated look over the original N64 controller.
