From Sunday 29 October to Wednesday 22 November, they'll headline Southampton's O2 Guildhall, Birmingham's O2 Academy, Usher Hall in Edinburgh, O2 City Hall in Newcastle, Barrowlands in Glasgow, O2 Academy in Leeds, Victoria Warehouse in Manchester and Rock City in Nottingham. Anyone who has had the pleasure of seeing Jalen perform live knows that he is one of the most captivating performers on today's soul scene.

Power To Play’ has been produced by Danny, alongside the band’s good friend Jason Perry, and it’s filled to the brim with hair metal cheese, glam rock glitter, and a heavy metal attitude, that hints at Van Halen, Mötley Crue, Poison and Def Leppard. The 'Star Girl' quartet will hit the road on Monday 23 October, kicking the trek off with two nights at Bristol's O2 Academy before heading to Nick Rayns LCR in Norwich, Alexandra Palace in London and the Bournemouth International Centre.

Power To Play excites on several tracks, and if anyone thought the band would go soft with age they were dead wrong – it just doesn’t need to be turned to 11 quite so much. Now with a massively successful US tour opening for sweet soul darlings Thee Sacred Souls behind him, 2023 is sure to be a propitious year for Daptone's newest signee. The band, famed for their hits Obviously, 5 Colours in Her Hair, and Star Girl, previously played at the LCR in 2012 and at the UEA Sportspark in 2004, and band member Danny Jones played a solo gig at Norwich's Waterfront in 2019.We love being on tour and playing live, and we hate this weird pressure where you don’t get played on the radio if you have guitars in your songs. Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones, Harry Judd and Dougie Poynter are taking things into their own hands in a way they never anticipated. Still, as with any album that flips into the Punktastic inbox, they deserve a fair listen away from the baggage of once appearing on Hollyoaks. Throwing off the shackles of expectations, focusing on the things they love the most - primarily making music together with raw, loud and live guitars - and delivering their biggest, boldest and most brilliantly noisy statement yet. The track serves as the perfect summary of McFly’s mindset right now, and, with riffs front and centre, it’s the first taste of this thrilling new era of the band.
