I think that of all of the books in this “series” this was my least favorite, which was disappointing because I was really looking forward to it. My boyfriend, Dax, slowed his jaunty pace and sighed loudly, not because he needed the extra oxygen, but because this was our third break in less than fifteen minutes. Her long black hair was in a sleek ponytail, and she held a straining Labrador retriever by its leash. So when Liv suddenly receives a postcard from her father explaining that National Geographic is funding a documentary about his theories on Atlantis--and will she fly out to Greece and help? Dax started to say something, but luckily, a blur of lululemon activewear suddenly appeared in the driveway next to us, stopping the oncoming inquisition I knew was about to happen.

Olive gets off a plane ride that's probably like 20ish hours long to meet a father who abandoned her to go pursue his dream of Atlantis. Fortunately there's also Theo, her dad's incredibly handsome and charming assistant who makes a great buffer between father and daughter, so a lot of awkwardness is avoided while Liv continues to ignore her feelings. I could feel the author’s own enthusiasm for the subject come through in her writing, and it made me even more excited to continue reading. She's pretty self absorbed and too sure she's right about everything, and at times it feels like it's just taking too long for her to start learning and changing. The only reason why i lowered it to 4 stars was because i felt that this book could’ve definitely been shorter, and i felt like it was a little slow at the middle, but overall it was a great read!

I don't even have a problem with cheesy love stories, but I do have a problem if you don't even try. inspired tale about a teen girl finding romance while trying to connect with her absent father in beautiful Santorini, Greece. Going back, Olive’s attitude towards Dax was the first reason why I disliked her in the first place.

She is a brand designer who loves tiki drinks, her mid-century modern house, and obsessive Google mapping. She’s sharp and I felt like she tried really hard to walk that balance between interfering when necessary and letting Liv make her own life choices.

He’d even turned off his phone so we wouldn’t spend half the night being bombarded by texts from his legions of friends. YA has unfortunately just not been meshing well with me recently and maybe that contributed to my feelings!
