Montefiore does a great job of including pieces of background from the previous novel to ensure an easy transition for the reader. There's a World of books to choose from such as: Children's Books, Range includes Baby Books (0-3), Books for Toddlers (3-5), Early Readers (5-7), Childrens Story books (7-11), Young Teens (11-14), Young Adults (14-16) and Childrens Educational Books. As The Daughters of Castle Deverill opens, Montefiore is quick to transport her readers to the current comings and goings of her characters. Por otro lado admiraba muchísimo a Lady Grace y en este libro me he llenado de asco y desprecio hacia ella.

Fall in love with beloved bestselling author Santa Montefiore's epic tale of romance, secrets, family and friendship.I didn't think I had another in me, but here I am, celebrating my twenty-first and polishing my twenty-second for publication next year!

I came into The Daughters of Castle Deverill, the second book in a series written by established British author Santa Montefiore, having just read its predecessor, Songs of Love and War. I'm not saying any more as I don't want to spoil it or give anything away for readers of this fantastic, sweeping epic of a novel. The beautiful Castle Deverill, which is connected each of these characters, now stands ruined after a fire.

I absolutely loved Songs of Love and War (5-star read for me) but this 2nd in the trilogy didn't captivate me as much as Love and War did. It jumps through the years with no pause to appreciate the present, meaning stories are rushed and have no emotional impact. Castle Deverill, nestled in the rolling Irish hills, is home to three very different women: flame-haired Kitty Deverill , her best friend and daughter of the castle’s cook, Bridie Doyle , and her flamboyant English cousin, Celia Deverill . I have found these books fascinating and gripping as the author fills out the stories of her main and minor characters.

It’s the type of historical fiction I generally enjoy–the family is large and complicated; the story mostly focuses in one time period, but we do see flashes of the past.Full details of your rights under the Distance Selling Regulations are available in the UK from your local Citizens' Advice Bureau or your Local Authority's Trading Standards Office.

Once again the writing is lush and descriptive and pulls you right into the story almost as if you are there! We pick up the story of Bridie Doyle, Kitty Deverill and Celia Deverill Mayberry, their paths going different ways but eventually crossing back again. Montefiore also adds another locale, by basing an additional story thread in South Africa, allowing her to contrast all three settings. Si pensaba que la primera parte había sido increíble, esta segunda parte se ha llevado la delantera! You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. I had to skip over parts since they were quite dry and weren't keeping me turning the pages the way the 1st did.
