Description

A chemical exfoliant is generally considered better than a physical one in that it doesn’t contain harsh microbeads which can not only scratch your skin, but are also harmful to the environment. Niacinamide is an all-star active ingredient and offers multiple benefits for the skin. It is an anti-inflammatory agent that can help soothe the skin and smooth wrinkles and fine lines. Ideal for normal to dry skin this bar cleanser removes dirt, oil, and makeup without stripping your skin’s natural moisture barrier. The moisturizer also contains three types of ceramides: Ceramide NP, Ceramide AP, and Ceramide EOP. These ceramides work with niacinamide to restore and maintain your skin barrier barrier. I have tried using it to remove make-up, using a flannel to take it off my face once applied, but I find the weightlessness of the formula can’t quite shift my waterproof mascara and fuller coverage foundations, so I often have to go in again to get the bulk of it off my face.

This CeraVe cleanser also contains glycerin, a humectant that draws water to the skin, and pure vitamin E, a potent antioxidant that protects the skin against environmental stressors like UV rays and pollution.

Estee Lauder has reformulated its advanced night repair serum, but is it any different? We find out Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion is formulated with six moisturizers plus vitamin E and vitamin B5, also known as panthenol, to soothe and nourish the skin. The serum uses CeraVe’s patented MVE technology that encapsulates ceramides in a slow-release system for extended hydration and a strong skin barrier.

This post looks at the difference between each product in the CeraVe and Cetaphil lines, and which one is better for different skin conditions. It also looks at the potential skincare routines created from each, or a mixture of the two brands. Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream: Niacinamide, panthenol, and glycerin work together to restore your skin barrier. The cleanser also contains hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid, a chopped-up form of hyaluronic acid with a low molecular weight and can penetrate the skin to help retain moisture. CeraVe’s Multivesicular Emulsion (MVE) Delivery Technology is a delivery system that makes CeraVe products more effective.

Product Features & Benefits

CeraVe Ultra-Light Moisturizing Gel is a super lightweight gel moisturizer formulated with skin-loving ingredients list that nourish your skin while feeling barely there. This moisturizing cream is formulated with CeraVe’s patented MVE Delivery Technology to release moisturizing ingredients throughout the day. However, our production of ceramides can become depleted due to ageing and sun damage resulting in dry, rough or even itchy skin. This cleanser works to make dry, textured skin look and feel plump and hydrated within just a few days of use. The salicylic acid face wash is formulated to improve skin roughness without stripping or drying the skin. CeraVe was founded in 2005 after experts noticed that skin conditions like dry skin, acne, eczema, and psoriasis all share the same quality: a compromised skin barrier.
