Description

Made from start to finish on our family farm in Lincolnshire, these grain and gluten free treats are made with natural ingredients (sweet potato, turkey, linseed, ginger and chamomile), with no fillers or nasties, and no ad A small cup of chamomile tea, cooled. Chamomile contains an antioxidant called apigenin that may help sleep. Evidence is sketchy though, but a small drink won’t do any harm. Just be aware that chamomile tea contains no nutrients and can fill small tummies without any nourishing benefit.

Don’t offer caffeine-containing foods or drinks such as hot chocolate. Children shouldn’t have caffeine anyway, but to be clear, no coffees, teas or other drinks containing caffeine such as cola. Our brand-new naturally oven-baked bedtime biscuits for dogs are made with soothing ingredients including chamomile and ginger to help relax and calm your canine companion. Our unique baked texture helps to keep teeth clean too! Some foods are naturally high in an amino acid called tryptophan, which makes serotonin, which, in turn, produces a by-product called melatonin, the hormone that makes you feel sleepy. These dog biscuits are fabulous for helping those dogs that get the early morning hunger pukes or can be used to help settle a dog’s tummy when they are not the best at travelling. They contain oats, calming chamomile and ginger to help settle the tum. Bedtime Biscuits Don’t give them foods high in salt or sugar such as biscuits, sweets, cakes, salted crisps, etc. Sugary foods are also not good for their teeth.I did a search (probably similar to what you did) and both chamomile and lavender pose NO significant risk to your beloved dog. And by significant risk what I am saying is to think of every single individual component in your or your pets diet and understand that in excess most are toxic to some degree, We all need water but too much water can kill us. We all need protein but eating only lean protein causes nutritional deficiencies. You might take a couple OCT pain relievers for a headache, but taking the whole bottle would kill you….. The same applies to herbal remedies for both humans and our beloved pets. Melatonin levels rise when it starts getting dark outside and this helps our bodies regulate a sleep/wake cycle [1] or circadian rhythm. Salmon pate on toast. Oily fish such as salmon or sardines contain vitamin D and omega-3 fatty acids, which are also important in the regulation of sleep [8]. Looking for a little help getting your pooch to calm down at the end of the day? Does your fur-baby need a little coaxing to relax at bedtime?Sounds like Fido needs one of my Chamomile Lavender Bedtime Dog Biscuits!

Hey Jenny – great question. I’m going to say this to you like as if we were hanging out in my kitchen, having a causal discussion. I understand your worry but if we dissect a bag of dog food and look at the ingredients MANY of those ‘approved’ ingredients are also questionable from a health perspective. The same with all veterinarian approved drugs, vaccines, treatments, right? Sweet Potato Flour, Tapioca Starch, Dried Turkey (12%), Potato Starch, Poultry Fat, Pea Starch, Cellulose Fibre, Linseed (3%), Ginger (0.5%), Chamomile (0.1%). Small bowl of porridge, as oats are rich in melatonin [6], make it up with milk and stir through some nut butter for a tryptophan boost.

A handful of cherries (stones removed & chopped up) or small drink of cherry juice as cherries are natural sources of melatonin [4]. Combine the ingredients (you can use a nutri-bullet or similar). Roll into 14 golf ball sized portions. Pop onto a baking tray, press lightly to slightly flatten each biscuit. Bake on 180 fan for 15 mins. A pancake topped with kiwi slices. Kiwi is rich in serotonin which is converted into melatonin, the sleepy hormone [9].

Delicious organic oval-shaped treats from Lily's Kitchen, made with probiotic yoghurt, honey, passion and chamomile flowers. These artisanal biscuits are made with delicious organic ingredients including organic oats and organic rye flour. The organic chamomile and passionflowers are botanicals associated with helping to get a good night’s sleep. We’ve also included organic probiotic yoghurt, which is a lovely soothing ingredient that may aid digestion. Our baked biscuits are naturally nutritious and made to a recipe with no nasties whatsoever. Banana slices with yoghurt (banana contains potassium, which acts as a muscle relaxant) [3] and yoghurt contains tryptophan. If there’s been a long gap between dinner and bedtime, then your toddler may well be hungry, and it’s perfectly normal for them to need something to eat. Young toddlers need to eat every 2.5-3 hours or so. It can also depend on how much food they have eaten that day. If they haven’t eaten much, they may well be hungry at bedtime. These organic biscuits are traditionally oven baked and we've included probiotic yoghurt, honey, passion flowers and chamomile flowers. They're also hypoallergenic and wheat free.

Both the chamomile and lavender help to calm and relax your dog. Not only are these perfect before bed time but also great to give before you leave them home alone, since they can help alleviate anxiety. Additionally, these Lavender Chamomile Bedtime Dog Biscuits {Grain-Free} can help to make car rides less stressful.
