A hunter’s feet need to be protected at all costs and there simply isn’t any excuse for taking poor quality footwear on a hunt. After 30 days, if a manufacturing fault is identified, we'll adhere to the terms outlined in the Consumer Rights Act 2015 by repairing or replacing the product.

Removable Footbed: CRISPI® Air Mesh + Felt Active Carbons. Outstanding breathability and anti perspiration - anti odour action. The CRISPI® 3D construction moves moisture away leaving the foot dry.OVERALL REVIEW: 9.5 of 10- A wise man once told me: “When you find what you’re looking for, stop looking.” After one complete fall season I have to say the Crispi Guide is an exceptional boot, but—for my feet and the type of hunting I do—the Crispi Hunter is exactly the boot I’ve been looking for. The toughest hunts are often the most satisfying… Another feature on the Dakota boots that promotes comfort and and protection to your feet is the Crispi Ankle Bone Support System (ABSS). The ABSS greatly improves comfort and protection of the entire ankle area due to a combination of innovative materials that allow the footwear to contour gently around your ankle. The system offers fantastic sprain protection even on the most challenging terrain while supporting the ankle in all condtions. This helps to reduce fatigue on the lower joints after a long day of walking. Removable Footbed: Cambrelle® + Active Carbons + Felt. Form fitting shape for less strain on the foot arch, heel and metatarus. Special CRISPI® No-Slip Design and Active Carbons Filter with antibacterial properties. Crispi developed the Hunter GTX boot to be a truly world class hunting boot that has gained a tremendous reputation since launch. Removable Footbed: CRISPI Air Mesh + Felt Active Carbons. It’s this type of relationship and testimonials that give the consumer confidence when purchasing a pair of Kenetrek boots.Crispi developed their ABSS (Ankle Bone Support System) feature which is designed specifically for comfort and protection of the entire ankle area. It is a combination of materials that contour to the shape of the hunter’s ankle. Crispi boots were born in Veneto, Italy in the mid-70s and made its way through most of Europe before officially being introduced into the States in 2016. Crispi combined their real leather outing with a GORE-TEX style lining to create what they call “Dual Tech Lining”. It has an extreme resistance to abrasion and a high thermic insulation which adds to the boot’s durability. Why? Well I did an "Ultra Challenge" Event in 2021 where I covered 100km (60 miles), in 36 hours, with a total ascent of 10,000 feetand I wore a pair of Crispi Summitboots. I also did many training sessions of 25 - 50km and they performed faultlessly in all weathers and over all terrains. In fact I am wearing the same boots whilst writing this listing....

Immediately there is not much between the Kenetrek Mountain Extreme 400 and Crispi Hunter GTX, they are both clearly designed for heavy-duty mountain hiking and won’t look out of place in a hunting photo atop one of Alaska’s many peaks while the hunter sits next to his prized Dall sheep. These Italian boots have been designed with precise foot wrapping fit across the whole surface for greater comfort when walking. They are one of the lighter boots in the Forest Light range from Crispi, weighing in at around 630g. With a good height of boot to provide ankle support and a durable outer material, these boots can take on most challenges. The high-cut upper gives greater structure to the shoe, as well as protection and support for the foot. The protective rubber rand protects the foot and the upper against external impacts. The Hunter GTX are recommended for more intenseactivitiesin wild terrain as they offer even more support being a higher boot. The high-cut upper gives greater structure to the boot, as well as protection and support for the foot. Excellent climate comfort and thermal insulation thanks to teh insulating inner upper that utilises technology from both GORE-TEX and Primaloft. Looking at two of their premier products, the Kenetrek Mountain Extreme 400 and the Crispi Hunter GTX. Each boot will be judged against five main factors that each hunter will look for in a boot:

The Mountain Extreme 400 and Hunter GTX are both leather-based products and even though both companies have worked hard at ensuring their boots are durable, you won’t be doing yourself any favors if you do not apply the care products provided. While we strive to dispatch products in perfect condition, if you receive a damaged item, please notify us at [email protected] within 24 hours. INITIAL IMPRESSION: 10 out of 10- I’ve laced up enough boots that upon first inspection I could tell these we’re quality boots. The stitching was clean and the construction looked good and not over-engineered for ascetics like many of today’s trendy brands. This fall I spent 86 days across Alaska guiding in the Brooks Range mountains for Dall sheep and grizzly, the boggy Arctic flats for caribou, the rolling lichen-laiden hills of Western Alaska for moose and grizzly, and the timeless bear country of the Alaska Peninsula for brown bear. My entire season hinged on the performance of two pairs of Crispi boots: The Hunter GTX and The Guide GTX. You will be charged import VAT by your government when the shipment arrives at your customs point. This VAT will be charged at your local rate.WATERPROOFNESS: 9- I’ve yet to find a leather hunting boot that doesn’t eventually leak. About Day 75, after probably 500 creek crossings and more boggy miles than I care to discuss, I started noticing moisture along the outstep of my insoles. Realistically, I was actually very impressed they held water as long as they did. DURABILITY: 10- Over the course of 86 days, I took these boots from saltwater to mountain peaks. I have to say they look great inside and out. Not single stitch is out of place, the soles have lots of life left in them, the rand is completely intact, and the leather looks great. I typically get two seasons out of my boots if I rotate them. The ultimate durability test will come at the end of next fall, but at this point I have every confidence they will perform well. Crossing creeks and rivers is a constant when mountain hunting. The laces of both boots run the full length, so the tightness and support are held throughout the entire foot and up past the ankle. From hot and dry to cold and wet, there is perhaps no place on earth that is more unforgiving than Alaska. Sooner or later, the Last Frontier will always expose inferior equipment. WARMTH: 9- Obviously, these are boots for the active hunter. Both pairs have 200 grams of insulation. Overall these boots served me very well for temps ranging from 15F-75F. For warmth in boots, I focus more on keeping them dry than I do insulation, which is why I bring two pairs of boots with me. If I only brought one, they would be damp from sweat from day one and never dry again until I got home. You can have 2,000 grams of insulation, but if you’re boots are damp, your feet will get cold! Billy and his hunter dry their sweaty boots as they wait for they ram they spotted to move into a favorable position.
