That's Ko, and I'm glad we have a shonen protagonist who's dealing with these issues without being an ass about it. With a kind of silent acknowledgment, Nazuna and Ko decide to hang out at night, with Nazuna feeding on Ko at some point along the way.

The woman introduces herself as Anko Uguisu, a private detective, and she tries to get information from him on Akihito, showing Ko a photo of the man who was involved with Seri the other day. She has no interest in turning Ko into a vampire (which would require him to fall in love with her), but she does seem invested in his emotional well-being, something she's possibly unaware of.Because if a vampire falls in love with a human, and the human falls in love with a vampire, she can turn that human into a vampire. Vampires [ edit ] Seri Kikyo ( 桔梗セリ, Kikyō Seri ) [2] Voiced by: Haruka Tomatsu [9] (Japanese); Christina Kelly (English) A flirtatious vampire who resembles a gyaru. A flustered Akira discovers of Nazuna and Yamori's kiss, and tries to dissuade him from falling in love with a vampire.

Yes, Nazuna wears a scantily clad outfit and makes a lot of sexual innuendos, but she never gropes or assaults Ko. Sensing his jealousy, Nazuna flies him to another pool, where they enjoy themselves and she drinks his blood.

After rejecting a classmate's love confession, 14 year old Ko Yamori becomes increasingly depressed. There's such a heavy focus on the scenery and setting and it kind of gives the series a meditative feel. Skimming ahead in the other couple of volumes I own of this series, it looks like vampirism will continue to be a metaphorical means of exploring various sexuality and relationship topics in a lightly comedic, non-explicit way.

There are a few fish-out-of-water gags, like when our hero finds out that Nazuna doesn’t own a cell phone (at least not one invented before the fall of the Berlin wall), or when they excitedly try out their new transceiver watches. But what happens when there's a kid who doesn't experience those emotions and has no one that is willing to take the time to guide him? Arisa then plans to quit the cafe, but Midori forgives her, saying that all the cafe maids are working there out of some desire for recognition themselves. A relieved Nazuna then drinks from the wound in his mouth, before jumping away, leaving him speechless. Along with the conversations he has while out and about at night, he spends time ruminating on life and the human / vampire condition. And yes, to her biting a human's neck is considered sexual, but Ko doesn't see it like that and is clearly not bothered by it once the situation's explained, so I have a hard time being bothered by an age gap when nothing sexually problematic happens. It was serialized in Shogakukan's shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Sunday from August 2019 to January 2024. Meanwhile, Nazuna thinks that Ko does not want to become a vampire anymore, and asks Nico and the other vampires to let him live.
