Description

You won't use the features: The modular design makes this controller considerably more expensive than many alternatives. It is well worth the money, but only if you intend to use those features to their fullest. You want something long-lasting: The DualSense isn't exactly a reliable or durable gamepad, so go elsewhere if you don't want to buy again later.

When you first connect your DualSense Edge to the console, you'll be walked through entire settings menus of your PS5 you had no idea even existed previously. You'll find button remapping menus, profiles, deadzone customization, and otherwise very thorough options so you can set the controller up according to your every whim. As we'll come onto, there aren't a whole lot of accessories and ways for you to customize the hardware of the DualSense Edge. Instead, Sony took a much more software-oriented approach to customization. Whilst we will do everything we can to meet the delivery times above, there may be factors outside of our control and we cannot guarantee delivery within this time frame. When it comes to connectivity, the PRO BFG can be connected to PlayStation 4, 5, and the PC, either via the USB cable or the 2.4 GHz dongle. The controller works great, there are no connection problems and the range is pretty decent. On wireless, the battery isn’t anything to write home about, lasting for around 15 to 20 hours which is on par with the Dual Sense.

Plug the included USB-C cable into the USB-C port on the top of the controller, and the other end into your PS5™ console, PS4™ console, or PC. Now, this is very much based on my own preference, remember. And just because I use the BFG for twitch-shooters doesn't mean that the DualSense Edge can't be used for them as well. Similarly, the BFG would work great for third-person games, it just isn't my go-to choice. Performance: In terms of value for money, this is by far one of the best controllers to hit the shelves in recent years, especially when you consider that it's cheaper than its competition up and down this list of the best PS5 controllers. The Victrix Pro BFG Controller communicates to the Victrix Control Hub App via HID commands. Specific software like Steam may install custom Lower Filter drivers that interfere with the Pro BFG’s communication with the app.

It is recommended to insert the USB Dongle into the front USB port of PlayStation®5 (CFI-1000 series). Plug the included Wireless USB Dongle into your PS5™ console, PS4™ console, or PC. The LED on the dongle will begin flashing purple. Yes, the Victrix above does offer a better all-round pro experience but it also adds modular connections to the final price. If you're after a pro controller without the extra cost, the Nacon Revolution Unlimited is your best bet. You can always rely on Nacon for great build quality, but in the Revolution Unlimited the third-party accessories specialist has outdone itself.

Please note that running this file will restore your USB HID Lower Filter driver to its default configuration, which could affect other peripherals utilizing custom USB HID Lower Filter drivers.** However, the real value-buster here is the full wireless compatibility with rumble, built-in speakers, and an extra set of programmable buttons. Those are some serious specs and, while the quality won't match those of pricier options, being able to tinker with such features is always a welcome bonus on a cheap controller.
