New feature ideas are always welcome and a great way to improve the firmware. There are three ways you can suggest a feature. If you have a general idea, but would like some community input on the feature, open up a discussion where everyone can chime in. If you have a concrete idea you think would benefit the firmware, you can create a feature request in the issus tab on GitHub. If you have a solid idea and have the ability to implement it yourself, implement it in your own fork and create a pull request to the main branch. Marlin 3D Printer Firmware The Ender 3 Pro was released in September of the same year and was designed to fix a lot of the niggling problems that many users experienced with the original model. So - in fact - I already decided to exactly do that in the next video, so watch that next, if you're interested in that mod. Even if you have been printing just fine for some time, it’s still possible that you temporarily fixed the symptom without fixing the problem. Incorrectly Calibrated X-Axis It is going to be a new subfolder in the Marlin sources directory. and then from there you can navigate down to the build and STM subfolder.

Additionally, Creality modified where the cooling fan sat within the Ender 3 Pro. The base model’s fan attachment sat above the build area, which often caused filament dust to be left across the build plate and part. The Ender 3 Pro moved the fan underneath, eradicating this problem. Some materials don’t work very well with fans on such as PETG, but we definitely recommend using a good fan for PLA, especially at a fast speed. Warped Print Bed The Ender-3 V2 includes a user manual, which is mostly a setup guide. Text is duplicated in English and Chinese throughout. It starts with front and rear diagrams of the printer, with the parts numbered. Also included are a spec sheet and a comprehensive parts list (erroneously titled "Spare Parts"), with illustrations and names for each part. now a few words about the build quality the frame is still a very high quality it has a little bit improved over the previous versions but it's It continues to use 4040 aluminum extrusions, which were actually a feature of the Ender 3 Pro variation which provides a much more rigid structure that minimizes vibrations. The all-metal frame should lead to higher-quality 3D prints. It has many of the same features as the standard Ender 3, with an identical build volume and build plate, print speed, and filament capacity. But we didn't change anything in the firmware yet to get some of the additional features that we might want. What about my favourite two features, LEVEL_BED_CORNERS and MESH_BED_LEVELING. After that are the assembly instructions, replete with small diagrams, some of them a little too small for comfortable viewing. (I used a magnifier when needed.) I was baffled by one diagram that showed a correct and a wrong way of connecting a nut and bolt; only when I magnified the diagram did I see its proper orientation. Instructions in the guide are cursory; I supplemented them by watching several third-party Ender-3 V2 assembly videos. So we did part 1 of the upgrade, the display firmware. Let's finish part 2, the printer mainboard firmware.

If you’re using BLTouch with your Ender 3 V2, then you’ll need to add one more bit of G-code right after G28. G29 ; Auto bed-level (BL-Touch) 4 – Optional: Change recommended print settingsThe Ender 3 V2 has a maximum extruder temperature of 255°C, while the other three models are capable of reaching a slightly higher 260°C. Higher temperatures mean you can print tougher filaments like ABS, Nylon, ASA — and if you can reach super high temperatures, PC and PEEK. For best results, you might want to use Creality filaments on their printers. A good example is this roll of 1.75 mm PLA that came with our printer.
