Well if addressing the vocabulary gap in your school/class is that something then Vocabulary Ninja is your saviour. This is a great resource and allows you to effectively and efficiently reference your spellings throughout the week.

Vocabulary Ninja is proud to offer these games and hopes for the current games to be developed further and also to have new learning games added in the future. Each text can either be downloaded individually, as part of year group bundles or even as a whole school bundle.

This practical guide also features theory, teaching approaches and photocopiable activities, as well as vocabulary, etymology and phrases to bring the primary curriculum to life. There’s not catch, no-one is excluded, and everyone has the opportunity to grow and develop their working vocabularies! Each termly pack offers a set of ten questions for everyday, which is neatly copied between 8 and 10 times on one page, so that as a class teacher, you only need to print 2 or 3 pages, then trim and stick.

Plus, pupils love it, Vocabulary Ninja has used the system successfully with Y6 students over the past three years with huge success! Each square has a target word made up off all of the letters within the square, but how many words in total can pupils generate from the letters within! Vocabulary Ninja’s Word of the Day is now available at the beginning of every week as a fully-loaded, super-charged pack of vocabulary-awesomeness! We trialed it in year 6 first and when we saw how successful it was, we rolled it out to the whole school. Additional Resources Section – This section is standard in each pack and provides a multitude of different printable activities that you could give to pupils in your care. We offer low-cost, annual teacher subscriptions as well as subscriptions for the whole school allowing for multiple users. Whether in school or at home, Vocabulary Ninja offers a simple online subscription for schools, teachers and parents which provides access to engaging, online resources, teaching and learning strategies, books, video content and games enabling children to become knowledgeable, skilled and confident, ready to succeed in education and in life. The Tough Ten offers 10 questions everyday linked to the National Curriculum and mathematical expectations for each year group to help pupils develop confidence answers fluency-based maths questions that links closely to success in arithmetic and ultimately success in reasoning.This sheet should be used to introduce the spelling rule and then sent home to support parents at home.
