Description

CRessi F1 Frameless Dive Mask, a single lens frameless dive mask derived from the Cressi Piuma. The F1 silicone comes in a range of very bright colours, making for a very stylish diving or snorkelling mask made from top quality materials. I have used this mask in all sorts of conditions from calm waters to rough seas, and it has never failed me. It stays on my face no matter how much movement there is, and it keeps water out of my eyes no matter how strong the current is. Available colours: Clear, Yellow, Blue, Silver, Dark, White, Pink, Lilac, Khaki, Orange and Lime. Cressi F1 Frameless Mask – Features The Cressi F1 scuba diving mask is designed to be sleek and lightweight, so it won’t get in the way of your dive. It’s got an easy-to-adjust frame, so you can adjust it to fit over your face without any trouble. It also has a wide field of vision so you can see everything around you while underwater. Build Quality Of Cressi F1 Mask

Definitely compact, the Cressi Minima could actually appear not too adequate for spearfishing as the two lenses are so small. Still, the minimal internal volume can be excellent to reduce the number of equalization actions in deep dives. Also, the compact design can have also advantages from an hydrodynamic point of view. The two narrow lenses are mounted each on one plastic frame, which in turn is mounted on the single main frame. The narrow lenses of course reduce the field of view, and this can be slightly felt in the lower part of the view. The skirt Although generally designed for adult faces (usually 4.5-5 inches from one edge of the skirt to the other), modern design and technology means finding a mask that fits smaller faces is easier now than ever before. Yes, it’s fine to rent or borrow a mask. But it really is worth buying one for your specific needs, so we thought we would list some of the considerations and recommendations for the best scuba diving masks for smaller faces. Comfort The Calibro has been somehow one of the first modern revolutions in the Cressi masks line. With the innovative Fog Stop System it made the first step towards the future. In addition, special nerves on the skirt and matt silicone internally and externally make the Cressi Calibro a top level solution. Thinner silicone on the sides of the nose to help equalization is a plus. For deeper information read the x-rays and Super test articlepublished at the time of the launch of this mask. Nano Skirts - the mask skirt isn’t just to colour co-ordinate your dive suit! It will impact the amount and quality of vision around you. A clear or transparent skirt allows more light to give you clearer all-round sight (like a panoramic sunroof!) Although the extra light can create reflections and could cause a distraction if you’re not used to it. But, if you suffer with claustrophobia or think you might feel hemmed in, this is one for you. This mask has a low profile design that makes it easy to strap on and off your head, even when you have all of your gear on!Among the incredibly wide offer of masks by Cressi, we also find two special solutions, very different one from the other. The unmissable cam support mask, the Action mask, and the Minima mask, with extremely compact design and lenses. Action mask I collect dive masks like some women collect purses. But, unlike swapping out a new bag for a new season, when I find a mask that fits well, and doesn’t flood or fog, it stays in pretty much permanent rotation. I’ve long been a fan of frameless masks, such as the Cressi Z1, my long-time go-to. So, when I received two new Cressi masks to review — one of which is also frameless — I was excited to try them. We’ll start with the A1. Unboxing the A1 Mask The pink frame and yellow lenses on this A1 mask make it eye catching above and below the water (photo by Chris Miskavitch) The high quality, colourful, silicone skirt is bonded directly to the glass. This system keeps the mask construction incredibly simple and guarantees superb visibility in all directions, especially to the sides because it allows a maximum approach eye / glass without annoying pressures on the front or on the high part of the nose. It’s extremely comfortable. The straps are really easy to adjust, and they don’t feel like they’re going to cut into your face like many other masks do. The silicone skirt is easy to breathe through and doesn’t get in the way of your view. The mask has an internal channel that allows you to use either halogen or LED lights without having cords hanging in your face or getting tangled up in the strap system.

One thing to note when looking at prices, is that although it is related, the price doesn’t always reflect the quality. There are some great masks on the market, even for smaller faces, at very affordable prices. The Fameless and Single Lens design of the Cressi F1 mask has some great features, but it does have a some need for special care. The Frameless feature means there is not plastic or metal frame holding the glass in place against the Silicone skirt. The Strength of this Mask is in the Glass. Therefore we feel you need to have a bit more care for this mask, as you could easily damage it if you don’t. The Quantum also has a heat exchanger built into the silicone skirt that helps to cool the mask down and keeps the moisture in the air instead of condensing on the glass. You still need to prepare the mask as like any other but, the Quantum really boosts the effect and is specifically designed to prevent fog so you have a crystal clear dive all the time. Facial Hair – Atomic Venom Frameless There are many masks available now to suit children and adults with smaller faces, so here’s a few with other benefits:Smaller faces don’t tend to suit masks with three or four pieces of glass, as they use wider frames, and can cause underwater reflection and distort your vision. So, dual window is your best option. Volume Once you have the best fit, and the best design for you, you can focus on your dive itself. Seven of The Best Scuba Masks for Smaller Faces

As I mentioned before that, I have been using them for some time and I have to say, it’s my favorite mask ever.

The benefit of brighter white, yellow, and pink coloured skirts is that they are easy to spot and will make you more easily identifiable, even in murky waters. These may be good for the newer or less confident divers. A special offer by Cressi on the freediving and spearfishing side, with the Minima. It is designed for deep dives, as the internal volume is reduced to the minimum thanks also to the two very small lenses. Construction and compactness No serious scuba diver, freediver or spearfisherman does not know the Superocchio. This mask has made history and is still very much requested by divers thanks to its great adaptability to almost any face. Construction and compactness
