Man gan vēl ir tikai trīsdesmit ar kaut ko, bet kā f**k up (neveiksminiece būtu adekvāts latviskojums? That's certainly the case for our forty-something protagonist, Nell, and we have a front-row seat to her grand rhapsody. When you love a book, as I did with the first one, there's always a worry that a sequel won't live up to it. These titles have sold in twenty-two territories and achieved worldwide sales of more than one million copies (making the bestseller charts in the UK, US, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovenia and Serbia).

instead of Nell just writing an obituary column and interviewing a family member to do so as the book has it, in the show she can see and talk to the dead people. She enjoys her job writing obituaries, has a strong circle of friends (including the ultimate frenemy). Alexandra’s novel, One Good Thing, is still one of my forever favourites, and I loved how different this book was to it, whilst still being every bit as wonderful and addictive. When her business goes bust and her fiance with it, Nell’s happy ever after in California falls apart and she moves back to London to start over. With thanks to Netgalley,Alexandra Potter and Pan MacMillan for my chance to read and review this book.

First of all, to be fair to the author, she doesn’t go down the whole probably won’t have children, but might just save it at the last minute (!Nell is a forty something single woman without a job and accommodation unlike her friends who are all married and have kids and have their own houses.

I liked the format of the book especially Nell's Things I Am Grateful For at the end of each chapter.

Worse still, all Nell’s friends seem to have moved on and settled down into marriage and motherhood. It will allow you to change your mind, to take a different path, to grab opportunities that come your way that you might never have thought of . Told in a diary style format by Nell (first person) be prepared to embrace what everyday life throws at you and how you deal with it . Nell feels left behind and drastic measures see her taking up residence in a small flat in a shared house arrangement. Just look at how we talk about Jennifer Aniston, when from the look of things she has a fantastic life.
