Miek is really simple – a purple head with his 6 eyes and mandibles, on purple flower pieces, which I believe is a new colour for the element. Give kids the best in imaginative play and creative display with LEGO Marvel Bro Thor’s New Asgard (76200). This multifaceted set lets young super heroes aged 7 and up relive scenes from Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame movie and play out amazing adventures of their own.

Miek is, of course, a member of the Ragnarok crew and does make an appearance in both the movie scene and the set itself. Technically not a minifigure, but the bug-like creature does have a minifigure-style head so, close enough. Made up of a head and two colour-matching purple flower pieces, Miek is far from the most complex LEGO character you’ll feast you eyes on, but the head-piece is beautifully detailed. The print features all six of Miek’s eyes as well as printing for his two large horizontal mouth flaps (not really sure what the technical term is on this one). It’s a stunningly unique piece, and so collectors should be frilled to add Miek to their LEGO Marvel collection. New Asgard Sign Super Heroes sets traditionally prioritise action and conflict. 76200 Bro Thor's New Asgard has abandoned that convention though, containing Thor alongside Korg and Miek! These delightful characters maintain notable popularity and the minifigures appear impressive. Finally, Miek’s body, which is composed of two flower pieces, looks like a bit of a weak attempt – but the only other solution would be a new moulded piece, which can hardly be expected when the set already includes a new piece for another minor character.Following the 'snap', Thor enters complete depression and abandons his muscular physique, becoming noticeably overweight. Minifigures appear poorly-suited to recreating different body types, although this torso decoration seems effective and continues onto the hips. Additionally, these chequered trousers correspond precisely with the onscreen character. I have to pinch myself that this is not just an actual set, but LEGO also manage to sneak in a keg of beer.

This set straddles between almost a film set, almost a playset, and almost a display diorama. It could be a film set if it had studio lights. Most playsets are playable from both sides, so this could be turned into a playset by adding a roof and more outdoor decorations. It could be a display diorama if the floor were tiled and the walls raised higher, past the indoor decorations.Bro Thor is the highlight of the set for me. He has a new dual-sided print for his torso, and an exclusive leg print. His face and hair are new for 2021, matching Thor’s appearance in other Infinity Saga sets.
