At the opening some may find it more "masculine" or sharp, but that sharpness disappears after 5-10 minutes and it becomes a sexy, dark, mix of floral and earthy notes. I picked this up at my local Burlington after hearing Ksenja Demce talk about in one of her affordable perfume haul videos on YouTube. This was another bargain bin find and I am certainly pleased, though I have a few others that are at least in the same ballpark (it's sort of like the jasmine version of Dior Homme). I got this because of the comments that it's similar to Mon Guerlain without the lavender, and I am so thrilled with this fragrance.

Judging by the rave YT reviews one would assume this is some wonderful masterpiece, IT IS NOT, it's a cheap smelling, sandalwood-based incense vetivery cologne.

Guess in the opening is sweeter, the lavender is missing and it’s leaning a tiny bit towards masculine side but that lasts only about 5 minutes. In the first couple of minutes I can smell the powdery aromatics with soft herbal and faint fruity touches, and already vanilla is there. I bought it because I read here that it smells similar to Mon Guerlain, which is my signature scent, so I had to try it out. But the cozy warm vanilla, a hint of powdery iris, and the sweet jasmine all are perfect on this cool Autumn day.

There’s something almost nostalgic about it but I can’t put my finger on it, maybe it’s just because it is that cosy. Yes, they are both vanilla oriented, they share Bergamot, Iris, Jasmine Sumbac, they have a similar vibe in some (abstract?I can barely smell the vanilla, i'll try to layer it with a vanilla spray because it smells kinda masculine. The bergamot, sage, and jasmine make a simply lovely first impression; and base notes of lily-of-the-valley and vanilla truly bring this scent together for a sexy, mysterious, even witchy scent.
