The Bob's Burgers Movie accomplishes this double reveal in a single scene: when the Belchers are trapped in a car that’s been completely buried by dirt. This has is probably the reason why Louise (bobs burger character) never takes it off, because it would be so hard to put back on and the very reason why the poor love is always depressed. We're combining a love of history, politics, quirks, camp, and absurd Americana with a keen sense of color and dye yarns that highlight the fun, whimsy, and weirdness in our inspirational subject: Ohio and the Midwest. This hat is intended to be a transformative creation, a new caricature interpretation of the original character. Since it’s hard to make those precise, I laid my two crown pieces over each other and trimmed them to match up.

My most popular Halloween costume ever on this blog is my Louise Belcher Hat from the show Bob’s Burgers. All in all though I love it its adorable, a quick make and well written now I just need to make her a cute green dress for fun! It showed up on time which was great but as a hat, it isn't very secure and the fabric is obviously cheap. I ended up not needing to make my ear flaps separately since the crown part of the hat was so huge on me.

So while comforting, her reliance on her ears and her need for that comfort is a source of shame for her. Bob's mother also wore the hat just as often as Louise wears hers, further drawing parallels between the two.Louise has never removed the hat onscreen, and even in episodes where it's been lost or stolen, she has always found a substitute. Leave the back open, remove the pins and trim along the edges of the seams in the chin strap leaving about an eighth of an inch. I didn’t add ear flaps mostly because the hat fit well, and I was doing it last last last minute in the middle of the night and I was sleepy. Costumes and costume making are up there on my favorites list and I’ve been planning this year’s ‘stume since I finished binging a certain show recently - Bob’s Burgers!
