While there were a few frustrating moments, as there are with most books ((yes, even ACOTAR (my fave)), this series so far - I’m currently 39% into book 2 - which has been so incredibly good. It had a promising premise, but the tedious writing and poor execution made it impossible for me to become engaged in the story or care about the characters despite my best efforts. The Greatest Secret, the long-awaited major work by Rhonda Byrne, lays out the next quantum leap in a journey that will take the listener beyond the material world and into the spiritual realm, where all possibilities exist.

Ever since reading the A Court of Thorns and Roses Series, I have been a fan of Fae romances (check out my spoiler free review of the series). Main characters: 130 years ago, humans lost the Last Battle against the Fae and they have been paying them tribute ever since.He’s the most powerful of his kind, and though he has that broody, cocky arrogance that I love so much in my romantic heroes, he’s also wonderfully witty and he has this quiet vulnerability about him that is absolutely irresistible. There are a lot of back and forths between our two lovebirds throughout the book, it adds to the tension between the two.

The fig tree is there, too, when war breaks out, when the capital is reduced to ashes and rubble, when the teenagers vanish. i actually couldn't put this down past 50%, which is saying something for me since I am a very slow physical book reader. I absolutely love that the magic works through colour and I thought the Labyrinth was a delight, but they weren’t explored enough. A morally grey character with a traumatic past, an improbably romance, great chemistry, spicy scenes, loved it all!There she is given the chance to undo her regrets and try out each of the other lives she might have lived. I always enjoy when there is a communication barrier between the couple and they had to speak to each other through written notes for most of the book. There are quite some famous tropes in this novel, like enemies-to-lovers, there’s-only-one-bed, and fake relationship.
