Unfortunately, a lot of things await you after spraying it on, but nothing good. I smell here just BR 540 combined with a load of indefinable fruit notes. I must say here at this point I do not like BR 540 at all, but when I read the fragrance pyramid I would never guess a similarity here. Unfortunately, Greenwich Village is again significantly worse for me than BR 540 due to this really penetrating fruity note Greenwich Village seems so muddled and not balanced. In short I find it really awful. I just smell saffron and can not detect any other fragrance notes here except vanilla. The inspiration for the newest fragrance as the brand explains comes from, "a vibrant enclave of creative souls, young and old. Haute bohemia. Cafés, nightclubs, theaters, cabaret. Poetry, jazz. Artists, musicians, writers, revolutionaries. New Yorkers. With Greenwich Village, Bond No. 9 brilliantly captures one of New York’s most beloved neighborhoods in scent. It is a celebration of individuality and creativity, and the rich heritage of the city’s artists and intelligentsia, and the community they created." As I searched for an alternative, I wanted it to feature fruity notes like litchi and juicy mandarin. The fragrance arrives in the iconic silhouette flacon in unforgettable croc-embossed turquoise. “It had to be vibrant and unique,” says Rahmé. The color and details of the flacon embody the style, personality, and verve for which Greenwich Village is known.

Greenwich Village holds unfortunately also like glue, on the skin over 15 hours, longer I could not test it because I showered. On clothes Greenwich Village lasts through days and even a wash has not been able to remove the scent 100%. Our fragrance samples come in high quality glass SPRAY bottles and are available in sizes of 2ml, 3ml, 5ml, 9ml, 13ml, please choose a size above. Each ml will give you APPROXIMATELY 10 sprays (2ml - 20 sprays, 3ml - 30 sprays, etc.)The founder and president of Bond No9, Laurice Rahme expresses the thrill about the latest release, which belongs to the wide diapason of the brand's creation, dedicated to one of world's largest metropolises. She said: "We had to do Greenwich Village. It’s so rich in culture! I was thinking of painters and musicians, the jazz clubs and the chess cafés where I went in the seventies when I first came to New York. The Village is intimate; it’s real.” Greenwich Village is sample and decant-worthy. As a man writing this, the biggest disappointment is that it’s slightly feminine leaning. Sometimes the fruity florals just become too much. However, this fragrance isn’t exclusively for women. It just depends on your tolerance for unisex fragrances. As for occasions, it is all. Its combination of aroma and projection makes it so wearable. The projection is present but not overwhelming. While the aroma is charming and alluring. Vibrant, bold, lush with eclectic spirit, the newest creation from Bond No9 highlights the sparkling spirit of cassis, mandarins and lychee in the opening notes. The optimistic fruity vibe announces the lush bouquet of white peonies, waterlily and gentle jasmine petals, resting on ambrox, peach musk, vanilla, oak moss, and praline. "The result is an oriental vanilla with a touch of light florality," as the brand explains.

I don’t smell the tropical nature, as Litchi tends to project. Instead, it pairs with the orange and musk to emphasize a fresh aroma like clean sheets. What’s the most unique part of the opening? Sweet vanilla and praline sprinkled atop the exuberance of freshness and ambroxan.

This is spring, summer, and fall wear. I tried it in the winter, and it developed correctly, but the staying power significantly decreased. It wasn’t worth applying more or heavier with a fragrance this expensive. You’ll get seven to eight months of wear if you live in a four-season climate. Greenwich Village lasts eight to ten hours on the skin with moderate and consistent projection. It pushes out up to an arm’s length for the first couple of hours before receding, never becoming a skin scent. This performance is with five sprays. Greenwich Village is a sweet, floral scent with a musky base, but the ambroxan note featured as it dries down gives it a unique vibe that I do not find in many other fragrances with similar profiles.

Greenwich Village by Bond No 9 is a Amber Floral fragrance for women and men. Greenwich Village was launched in 2019. Top notes are Litchi, Cassis and Mandarin Orange; middle notes are Peony, Water Lily and Jasmine; base notes are Ambroxan, Praline, Vanilla, Musk and oak moss.As Greenwich develops a bouquet of white flowers and peony notes become more prominent and remain as the scent eventually settles into a somewhat gourmand base with amber and musky notes. The first spray is all about ambroxan. It isn’t as heavy as usual but adds a warm depth. Ambroxan pairs with fresher and fruity accents. The two most prominent fruits in the scent tree are Litchi and Orange.
