I always use photo bursts when capturing fast-moving activities and I can say the camera does a pretty good job in this category. You get the following options for this setting; Auto (default setting), Daylight, Cloudy, Tungsten, and Fluorescent I’ve been wanting to get an action camera that would go with me and the family on all of our adventures. However, the price of most was not in the range of what I wanted to spend for a camera I would just use occasionally. I can appreciate that brands like GoPro charge what they do for all their gadgetry. But, I was looking for something at a lower price point with some bells and whistles. I found it in the AKASO Brave 6 Plus Action Camera. It’s a portable camera that can help me capture both video and photos. Here is my review of this action camera designed to work outdoors. Features and Functionality The Akaso Brave 6 Plus is a budget action camera with some great features. The voice control, touch screen, external mic input and overall quality of the footage at 30fps is superb. I wonder if you had a chance to test any external mic with it. The build-in mic is not adequate for my tasks, but I’m concerned about connecting any mic via USB-C – this way has proven to be a bit unreliable yet (A LOT of compatibility issues somehow, although it is supposed to be “universal”). If you mount the camera and try to film action, say a bike ride, at 4K, 30fps that framerate is to slow, and the footage is jerky. While the camera can shoot 4K, the 4K should be reserved for non-action sequences. How much can you pay to get a budget action camera? Well, for me any price from Akaso is undoubtedly the best for a product. The Brave 6 have the same body design as the other action cameras however the difference comes with buttons, I noticed that they have weird placements, they don’t look very convenient. Front Action cameras are getting more popular every year. Action cameras with a good photo and video qualities are getting cheaper too! With the rise of action camera brands like GoPro, other companies also want to join this niche. AKASO is one of these companies. They brand themselves as the ‘Good GoPro Alternative.’ Let’s find out if what they are claiming is true. G’day, we’re Caroline and Craig Makepeace. Plus, most of these accessories are actually compatible with other action cameras, including GoPro.

Then we have Loop Recording, this is used for continuous recording and the newest video will replace the oldest video without any interaction from the user. The V50 cameras are the only ones that actually get close to the quality of the GoPro. With the touch screen, intuitive UI, excellent image stabilization, and great video and photo quality, these AKASO cameras are without a doubt the best they have to offer. And all three V50 cameras are still cheaper than the GoPro Hero7 White. The AKASO Brave 7 LE is an all-new action camera from one of the fastest-growing manufacturers in the sector. It looks the part with a weatherproof body, dual screens, EIS, easy to use touch screen and functions. Bright LEDs on the front of the camera light up to display conditions like power on/off and recording. Menus and settings were good, I wasn’t lost trying to change settings, and I felt like pretty much anything I needed/wanted to change was easy to find. Installation and setup Everything about the AKASO Brave 7 LE Looks right, a subtle mix of the GoPro and OSMO action cameras, paired with a decent specs list.

If I was to suggest any improvements to this nifty little, yet powerful, camera, it would be to make the voice control feature really good and reliable or just don’t offer it. Also, on my wish list would be 4k video at 60 fps. This is an option on pricier action cameras, so I may not be entirely realistic with that request. Each resolution also has the choice to activate electronic image stabilisation (EIS) which is designed to help smooth out any motion wobble. In contrast, the AKASO Brave 6 does not have the screen on the front. It has the 2” screen on the rear, however. Both rear screens of the Brave 4 and Brave 6 are not touchscreens, so you have to use the buttons to configure them. The Brave 4 has the edge over the Brave 6 due to the addition of the front screen.

The build of the camera itself is better than many other budget action cameras of this price, despite the slightly plastic looks. At the right side, there is a door for the battery compartment and the MicroSD card. The battery is 1050mAh and the microSD card can support cards up to 64GB. Left Side The reason why the Hero7 White is the cheapest option becomes obvious when you start to look at the other features. The video quality maxes out at 1440p / 60 fps, and the camera only features standard image stabilization.

If you are a snorkeling lover, or you like underwater photography, then waterproof is a huge selling point to you for an action camera. I hate lugging around my DSLR to capture video, especially for our outdoor adventures. If I can capture good audio with this, I can leave it at home in many situations. Starting out with the camera in the waterproof housing and the results we’re near unusable due to the rattle. The fit for the camera just isn’t great and if used on a bike off-road, then even with the EIS on, the volume of vibration makes the footage a slushy mess. thx for the review, i especially like info about 0% battery – save the video and turn off. i have feiyutech summon+, and i deliberately tested ‘dead battery’ scenario – it failed – camera shut off, and corrupt the last (20 min) video. The touch screen of the V50 Pro is easy to use, and the user interface is very intuitive. But one of my favorite features of this camera is that it supp
