The Journey Home by Frann Preston-Gannon | Waterstones

Una storia dura, sofferta, violenta, con una scrittura che sa combinare brutale realismo e momenti poetici, onirici , allucinati. An poignant discourse on the idea of "home," especially in a situation--so intense in Ireland, but resonant everywhere--that one might dub "traumatic," if we take traumatic to gesture at the paralysis that comes from a culture dangerously steeped in its past, too enamored with things that are lost. Foundations crumble and fragmentation ensues, and this is made painfully apparent in Bolger's characters and, impressively, embodied in his narrative structure. On the other hand, I had heard other yogis and philosophers profess that God is the Supreme Person, that His spiritual form is eternal, full of knowledge and bliss. At the time of liberation, the soul enters into the kingdom of God where it eternally serves the all-beautiful Personality of God in pure love. One group of second-generation members made the trip together with their survivor or former refugee parents. Others went after their parents’ death. Those with elderly parents, unable to travel, went without them but often communicated to them how they had retraced their family history. Some undertook the journey to help them come to terms with the burden of the past. Others saw it as part of the grieving process for a lost world and family that they would never know.

The book starts off as a simple writing but as the author pens down his experiences while travellimg in search of answers to his spiritual quest, it gets interesting. You might be experiencing the effects of known and unknown trauma. We all have life wounds – good news we can heal from them. Some of the incidents from this book are a great lesson to learn from like "We must not run after things we desire rather appreciate what we getting". As at many places where Radhanath Swami went through the toughest time of his life were the moments where he received the greatest blessing from Krishna. This book would be great for young people/teens because the author has a lot of "profound" revelations that most thinking educated adults would have already experience by the age of 27 (I hope).LoveReading4Kids exists because books change lives, and buying books through LoveReading4Kids means you get to change the lives of future generations, with 25% of the cover price donated to schools in need. The powerful teachings of The Journey were born from Brandon’s own direct experience of healing from a large tumor in just 6 ½ weeks – without drugs or surgery. As a story of finding yourself, building friendships and escaping from a controlling patriarchal environment it works quite well. Use a box or tub as the boat and soft toys as the animals. Act out the story and as each animal joins maybe they could tell a bit more of their story about what happened to them Draw the next scene of the story An essential book that not only introduces children to the importance of human rights, freedom, and the history of these concepts, but also to a wonderful variety of illustrations. The story begins with a polar bear on a tiny bit surrounded by only the sea – all the ice has melted. Since he can no longer survive there he sets out to find a place to live. Eventually he finds a boat which makes his journey easier but he can’t seem to find a place to live. Along the way he meets a panda at a harbour, the panda is completely surrounded by a massive city, after that he meets an orang-utan surrounded by tree stumps. Together these animals travel through storms until they reach an island which is home to the already extinct dodo.Anyone seriously or even casually looking for answers in life, this is the book. What should be "MY" role in this vast world, how can "I" help myself and others also, these questions were cleared when i read this book. Really a VERY GOOD one, positively inspiration and practical.
