With just 3 ingredients, you can have homemade hazelnut syrup in just minutes! Here's everything you need: Yogurt or Oatmeal Topping: I love adding a little sweetness to my healthy breakfasts and this hazelnut syrup is the perfect addition to either yogurt or oatmeal. Hazelnuts (I recommend roasted hazelnuts or recommend you roast them before making this) or hazelnut extract Combine 1 can of sweetened condensed milk, 1 cup of semi-skimmed milk, ½ cup of granulated white sugar, and 1 tbsp of vanilla extract in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat ( 1). Stir until all of the sugar has dissolved and bring it down to a simmer. Add 1 cup of white chocolate chips or white chocolate shavings and stir until the chocolate has melted. Sprinkle in 1 to 2 tsps of instant coffee and stir until the granules have dissolved. Remove the saucepan from the heat. 2. Brew Your Espresso Add 1 tbsp of hazelnut syrup to the bottom of your favourite mug. Prepare the white mocha syrup if you’re up to the extra challenge, that’s too big to be a Pro Tip. Otherwise, skip to the next step.

A traditional syrup made with sugar and water, used to add sweetness to drinks. You’ll find it in the Sweeteners section rather than the Flavors menu. 2. Vanilla Syrup Whether you make the syrup with nuts or extract, it will be delicious! I think the extract as a bit more of the "conventional" hazelnut flavor, while the actual nuts give it more of a nutty taste. How to useHis experience as a barista covers 2 decades and counting of working in specialty coffee shops in the United Kingdom, Spain, Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia. Indonesia and Vietnam. He has deep knowledge of the unique coffee culture in each of these nations and specialty beverages requested and brewing techniques and equipment. Derek Marshall is a coffee expert and a Specialty Coffee Association Certified barista holding the professional certification for coffee brewing and barista skills. He has 20+ years experience of working in specialty coffee shops. He has several authoritative books published about coffee covering topics of specialty coffee, This is a classic syrup with a strong vanilla flavor, perfect for adding to coffees, teas, and blended drinks. 3. Brown Sugar Syrup

Measure your half ounce (15ml) of coconut milk and hazelnut syrup and mix them well together. Steam your milk and pour over your double shot of espresso. Brew a double shot of espresso with your home espresso machine or make a strong cup of coffee. Put your double shot into a tall glass or mason jar. If you're a fan of hazelnut flavoring, you'll want to keep a jar of this hazelnut syrup in your fridge at all times! Some syrup flavors are a little less obvious. But once you make them, you can't imagine how you ever lived without them. You can file hazelnut syrup under that category.

Pour 2 tablespoons into your 240 ml (8 ounces) of milk. Mix it well until it takes on the flavor. Steam your milk and ensure your syrup is well mixed. A syrup with strong peppermint and spearmint notes is excellent for adding to teas and making minty hot chocolates and mochas. 10. Apple Brown Sugar (Seasonal) Hazelnuts are just not as popular here as they are in places like Europe, in part because they're grown most often in Turkey and Italy (though Oregon is also a top grower of hazelnuts!). Just like all my simple syrups, this hazelnut version is easy to store in an airtight container in the fridge. When stored properly, it should stay fresh for about a month. Here in the United States, you're far more likely to find someone enjoying a hazelnut flavored coffee or treat over eating actual hazelnuts. In fact, I bet plenty of Americans get all of their hazelnuts in coffee, Nutella, and Ferrero Rocher chocolate. If you're using chopped hazelnuts, I recommend letting the mixture rest for about 30 minutes so the hazelnut flavor can continue to infuse into the syrup. But if you're in a rush, you can strain it right away.
