Closer to reality Get closer to reality with over a billion true-to-life colors. Experience a wider palette of color up to 100% (typical value) under the DCI-P3 standard ensures smoother gradients whilst reds, greens and blues appear more vivid and realistic. Never miss the action with Sports Mode Watch the action unfold seamlessly with Smooth Motion, reducing blur and screen lag for clearer, more fluid scenes. Boost your chances of winning with input lag less than 20ms. Motion was also reasonably good with 24fps material looking decent for the most part, with only occasional judder noticeable with Ultra Smooth Motion switched off. 50Hz content also looked fair for the majority of content we viewed, without Ultra Smooth Motion engaged. We did notice some trailing edges on moving objects with action scenes or sports. When Ultra Smooth Motion is used, we encountered Soap Opera Effect (SOE) with the interpolation modes and, depending on the level of interpolation used, we also noticed more image artefacts with fast-moving objects breaking up at the edges as the system attempted to keep up with creating new frames with fast motion. As always, for purists, we would recommend disabling the Ultra Smooth Motion settings for film and drama content, but there are user settings for use with video content and sports if you feel you need those. QLED TVs are worth buying if you stream movies, games, or shows regularly. If you are looking for a TV with an enhanced brightness display, the layer of quantum dots helps to achieve additional vibrancy compared to a traditional LCD image. Opt for models Q70T and up for the best value for your money. 3. Is QLED better than 4K?

The Hisense A6G is a budget model, so the LCD panel is limited to a 60Hz refresh rate. It has native 8-bit colour depth and uses Frame Rate Control (FRC) to simulate 10-bit colour depth. These panel limitations mean the set is unable to take full advantage of 4K HDR’s 10-bit colour depth and gamers in search of 4K resolution at 120Hz will need to look elsewhere. Alexa built-in Use Alexa via the Remote NOW app to control your TV with your voice, search across the VIDAA U platform or use any Alexa skills. Watch the action unfold seamlessly with Smooth Motion, reducing blur and screen lag for clearer, more fluid scenes. HDR Certified resolution delivers breath-taking picture quality, advanced real-time AI scene optimisation. Bring the true cinematic experience home with support for all the latest HDR formats of HDR10+, Dolby Vision™. While the Hisense A6G is a solid performer with SDR, it’s more of a mixed bag when it comes to HDR. For a start, it’s very dim for an HDR TV, with a peak brightness of around 300cd/m² on both a 10% window and full-field in Dynamic mode. In the more accurate Cinema mode, this luminance drops to 250cd/m² on both a 10% and a full-field pattern. This cookie is set by Bazaarvoice. Hisense has included Dolby Vision support, and it’s with less capable displays like the A6G’s that the format’s dynamic metadata really shows its benefits. It allows HDR content to be mapped more precisely to the display’s capabilities, and watching exactly the same test material in Dolby Vision reveals HDR images free of any clipping and with saturated but natural-looking colours. You understand and agree that the Smart Services may include advertisements, certain communications from us or third parties such as update announcements, administrative messages, newsletters and other materials (“Communications”). As a newer technology, QLED is utilized in 4k resolutions and higher which happens to qualify them as UHD displays. UHD, or ultra high definition, refers to the resolution of a display being 4k (3,840 x 2,160 pixels) or higher resolution. QLED and UHD are not competing terms. 4. What does QLED mean in a TV? There are three HDMI 2.0 inputs with support for 4K at 60Hz, HDR, ALLM, HDCP 2.2, and CEC. One of the HDMI inputs also supports eARC. Contrary to what is stated in Hisense’s marketing, this TV doesn’t support HDMI 2.1, VRR or HDR10+. It’s not just the visual features that are incredible on Hisense TVs, as the audio is pretty awesome too. On this range, you can find Dolby Atmos and DTS Virtual: X, which work to create a multidimensional and immersive sound, allowing you to get lost in whatever you’re watching. You could even pair it up with a Sound Bar for the ultimate audio experience. To test the Hisense A6G we used Portrait Displays Calman colour calibration software.
