Description

It is seriously hot but in a nice way, unlike those sauces which are simply drenched in capsicum extract. This sauce by itself is straight up pain in a bottle, but I cannot wait to start trying it on different foods. If you're ready to embark on a fiery adventure that will leave you craving more, don't hesitate to grab a bottle of this incredible hot sauce.

Having said that and having used Daves for 20+ years, I would say maybe the bite is not as fierce as when it first came out. Dave was a pioneer, using oleoresin like no one ever had before and paving the way for far hotter sauces.

This is important, so that the insanity chicken is more or less the same colour as the normal chicken. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Easy to prepare, mega tasty microwaveable popcorn in a variety of flavours from Spicy Sriracha to mega hot Carolina Reaper. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice.

A bold, black, glossy label adorns the fairly standard looking bottle this dark red sauce comes in, with a bright yellow line top and bottom to separate the two otherwise low-contrast colours.

Ingredients: Red Chilis (25%), vinegar, chilli extract, lime juice, tomato paste, blackberry wine, spices, citric acid, onions, garlic, antioxidant ascorbic acid (vitamin C), xanthan (natural thickener). If you are not familair with how hot chilli sauces can be, this sauce will provide the kind of enlightenment you will not forget. Marinate 1 single piece of chicken in Dave's Insanity Sauce for 24 hours, whilst the remaining chicken is marinated in a covering of Chicken Tonight plus a few drops of red food colouring.

It has a great flavor and is great for chili or to add spice to anything like that where you can mix it in, but I wouldn't smother my hot wings in it.Dave's Gourmet is a company notable for creating and introducing Dave's Insanity Sauce, which formerly held the title of "world's hottest sauce. The product contains onions, garlic, vinegar and a miscellaneous assortment of spices but literally all I can taste is tomato purée and a similarly concentrated version of your standard supermarket variety red chilli flavour. Hey guys, this week my blog's covering an old favourite of a lot of serious chilli heads, mostly as a point of comparison to better people's understanding of my scale but also because of its history. Starts with a delicious, strong, smokey sweet chilli flavour closely followed by a solid smack in the chops of heat.

To give you some idea of the heat, Tabasco is rated at about 3,000 on the Scoville scale, Insanity sauce from Asda is rated at 51,000, and Mad Dog 357 Special Edition is rated at 600,000 Scoville Heat Units! I'm pretty sure the reason his original sauce hasn't changed is because of how much of a known entity it is by now but I agree, it must have given something of a bad name to the flavour of extreme heat sauces back in the day. Well, my Mad Dog 357 arrived this morning and it's taken me until now to gather the courage to try it. They say it has a very nice flavour and is a good addition to home cooked meals or a great chilli sauce with plenty of heat. I asked what it was and was told something along the lines of mayo/ranch/sour cream (maybe 2 or even all 3 of them) and Dave's Gourmet Insanity Sauce. The original Dave's Insanity Sauce premiered around 1993 and was one of the first sauces to be made directly from capsaicin extract, allowing it to be hotter than the hottest habanero-pepper sauces of the day.
