They started as a trio of school friends, Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, and Rob Bourdon with Chester Bennington arriving to take over as lead vocals. Linkin Park went through a couple of name changes. They started out as “Xero”, then changed to “Hybrid Theory” and finally moved to “ Linkin Park” which is taken from their regular meet-up point Lincoln Park in Santa Monica. Reanimation is a remix album and was the follow-up to their very first studio album entitled Hybrid Theory which was released on July 30, 2002.
