This is another reason why I got out of the tech reviewing game — even when you’re doing just as the manufacturer recommends, things still might not work, and you frequently have no idea why. It has a lot of limitations: it can only support 1080p / 60fps input, and its output maxes at 1080p / 30fps or 720p / 60fps. Otherwise, if you have a camera that outputs HDMI and don’t want to (or can’t) shell out for an Elgato, I’d say pick this little guy up.
