Nuno wouldn't do it bc he has way too much respect for Ed. So classy. Unlike a certain poodle haired fraud we know 😉 Matrix / Runout (Runout Side A, Variant 9): R/S Alsdorf 923985-1 AXX 1-23985-A SH-8 SLM 23 Δ 5872 1-2 Magical Unicorn Somewhat true. Ed technically was so different from other players. Hendrix wasn't a cited influence, so hard to say he built on Hendrix' style. What I appreciate about both players is the innovation....

Matrix / Runout (Runout Side B, Variant 6): R/S Alsdorf 923985-1 B X 1-23985-B SH8 SLM Δ 5872-X 1-2 99 Van Halen’s first live album – 1993’s double-platinum Live: Right Here, Right Now – will make its vinyl debut on Record Store Day as a limited edition 4-LP set. Recorded in May 1992 as the band was wrapping up their massive world tour in the support of their classic, triple-platinum album For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge, the collection finds singer Sammy Hagar, guitarist Eddie Van Halen, drummer Alex Van Halen, and bassist Michael Anthony firing on all cylinders and delivering over two hours of Van Halen’s signature hits. Van Halen will release a new boxed set this fall spotlighting the iconic band's second incarnation, with singer Sammy Hagar, guitarist Eddie Van Halen, drummer Alex Van Halen, and bassist Michael Anthony. The upcoming set includes newly remastered versions of four multi-platinum studio albums, along with a selection of rarities recorded between 1989 and 2004. Los Angeles - Van Halen will release a new boxed set this fall spotlighting the band’s second incarnation, with singer Sammy Hagar, guitarist Eddie Van Halen, drummer Alex Van Halen, and bassist Michael Anthony. The upcoming set includes newly remastered versions of four multi-platinum studio albums, along with a selection of rarities recorded between 1989 and 2004.LIVE: RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW gives each band member a chance to shine with Alex Van Halen’s pummeling drum solo, Michael Anthony’s “Ultra Bass” solo, and Hagar’s acoustic version of his solo hit “Give To Live.” One of the show’s biggest highlights is Eddie Van Halen’s ripping guitar solo. For more than 10 minutes, he lives up to his reputation as the ultimate guitar god with a solo that touches on some of his best-known instrumentals: “316,” “Cathedral,” and “Eruption.”

In 1993, the band released its first live album, Live: Right Here, Right Now, before returning in 1995 with Balance, its final studio album with Hagar. The album was another commercial triumph, debuting at #1, selling more than three million copies, and earning a Grammy ® nomination for “The Seventh Seal.” Matrix / Runout (Runout Side B, Variant 1): R/S Alsdorf 923985-1 B2 y 1-23985-B SH8 SLM Δ 5872-X 1-2 DOverall the mix on each album is pretty good. I think what a lot of people don’t understand is that they can only sound as good as the tapes they were recorded on. OU812 is always gonna sound flat because it was probably recorded with shitty tape. I think the mixes get better as the albums go by with Balance probably being the best sounds one. Although I noticed some over compression on the cymbals in some parts. And as his playing evolved from album to album and tour to tour, so did Alex’s setup. Usually going for higher-pitched toms and ultra-deep bass drums, he would often experiment with different gear and technology to bring something new to the table. Incorporating Rototoms, timbales, cowbells, tube drums, and electronics, Alex spares no expense when it comes to finding the right equipment to achieve the sounds that are in his head. THE COLLECTION II concludes with Studio Rarities 1989-2004, an exclusive compilation that assembles eight gems from the Hagar era for the first time. Among these rarities is "Crossing Over," the B-Side to Balance's "Can't Stop Lovin' You," and the band's only non-album B-side. Van Halen Productions, Inc. ℗ 1983 Warner Bros.
