Description

Highly stable to achieve balanced rotation while isolating motor micro-vibrations allowing the record player’s sound to be cleaner. The term ‘turntable’ can be quite confusing unless you are a music lover who knows well about all the associated equipment. Is a turntable the same as a record player, or is it something entirely else?

Rega and Pro-Ject tend to dominate at this sort of money. The standard Rega Planar 1 does, of course, require a phono stage, whereas the RT81 has one built in - but the performance upturn in pairing it with even a budget pre-amp is felt across the board. While still perhaps less full of body, the Rega is faster, more agile, more detailed and yet more expressive. The most significant difference between RT80 and RT81 is their specific components that influence the sound quality. While the RT80 has a hollowed body, the RT81 showcases a solid, straight body. Fluance is known for being an affordable brand that provides premium-quality products. You may wonder if the Fluance turntables are any good, if the Fluance RT82 has a preamp, or if the Fluance RT82 has a preamp? Most buyers describe it as user-friendly and a product that is reasonably easy to set up and play with. The Fluance RT82 also has manageable size and weight, both critical factors when buying a product. The RT82 is part of the Fluance Reference Series turntables. It has several features that distinguish it from the Elite and Classic turntables.

Should you buy this turntable?

Highly precise evenly weighted heavy aluminum platter for increased inertia resulting in uniform rotation and ensuring superior isolation from unwanted micro-vibrations.

After purchasing, you’ll need to assemble and set up your new Fluance RT82. Now this isn’t difficult, it requires just some patience. The turntable comes with a detailed manual that explains how to set up your new record player step-by-step. First you’ll need to assemble the cabinet, the platter with its rubber mate, and the rubber belt. The aluminum tonearm requires a bit of calibration which explained clearly. Nothing of it is too hard, but you have to spend some time setting up your new system. If you set it up correctly, your new Fluance RT82 will provide some amazing sound quality. Sound QualityWe introduced tighter standards for our platter machining to meet specifications within 0.3mm for a perfectly balanced platter rotation. Rubber O-Ring

Part of the Fluance Elite series, the RT 81 also showcases a built-in phono preamp, which makes it ideal for a compact record player setup. Easy tonearm operation allowing for the slow and controlled lowering of the stylus preventing stylus and record damage. With the Fluance RT82, get ready to sway to your favorite music. The OM 10’s diamond elliptical facets elegantly trace the record’s surface, giving it a polished look. The Fluance RT82’s body is sturdy and solid; each component is made of high-quality material. The anti-skating feature is top-notch, and the sound quality further adds to the fun of using it. In addition to higher capacitance cables we separated the ground wire from the RCA cable as it was determined that a separated ground wire reduced hum/noise. Metal RF ShieldingI am not a music expert and thus I really don't have an objective way to tell you why you should buy the Fluance RT82 over another turntable. I will say though, I am enjoying this turntable immensely. Acrylic as a material has a similar resonant frequency to the PVC vinyl records are made of to aid in the cancellation of undesirable reverberations for a more 3-dimensional soundstage and tighter bass. It also eliminates the need for a platter mat which depending on the material may attract more static electricity thus preventing the additional build-up of dust particles. However, it does not come with a built-in preamp, so you will either have to get a standalone preamp, an A/V receiver with a phono input, or a phono preamp that is built into your powered bookshelf speakers.

According to Fluance, the difference between an aluminum platter and an acrylic platter is vibration reduction and weight. Acrylic is supposed to transmit less vibration to the needle resulting in better sound. The heavier weight of an acrylic platter is supposed to help it spin flatter too which is supposed to reduce wow and flutter. The RT81 is available in the markets in a lovely glossy walnut finish that adds a retro yet contemporary vibe to it. Music You Can Hold in Your Hands The physicality of music is something that has been lost in the digital age of music. Vinyl records are not just about the music, but the remarkable artwork and engaging liner notes that give each album journey a greater sense of completion and understanding. It is time to put an end to all these confusions and find out what the Fluance RT81 and RT82 offer and why they have gained all this fame within a short time. Fluance RT81 vs. RT82 Solid mass-loaded multi-layered MDF wood chassis reduces resonance and absorbs vibrations from the motor and listening environment. The main reason for launching newer models is to make better analog signal quality and maintain its purity despite external noises. Sound quality: It reproduced the stereo sound stage of my 40 year old records nicely, and sibilance also seemed controlled However, it was established a long time ago, in 1999, and built its reputation on premium-quality speakers as well as home theater speaker systems.
