Description

Whereas Wacom might have been the dominating manufacturer in graphics tablets, and in this case ‘pen displays’ (where you draw directly onto the screen) in recent years, Huion and XP-PEN have made good headway in offering units aimed at those who don’t have the budget for a more premium Wacom.

Either way, the biggest names in the world of graphics tablets with or without displays are Wacom, Huion, and XP-Pen. Editing my photographic images felt surprisingly natural using the pen display, which I was not expecting as I'm usually viewing the monitor while using a tablet. And I heard from a lot of folks on my Pro 13 review that their style wasn’t affected at all by the pen wave and they didn’t even notice it. If you're used to larger laptops and have a laptop back or backpack that can accommodate them, this will fit with no issue, and it's surprisingly light, weighing in at just 1.

The Huion Kamvas Pro 16 is a display graphics tablet that targets the entry-level market for students, first-time display tablet users or simply those on a tight budget who want to make the jump from older, outdated hardware.

Many people didn’t have this issue, but just as many did, so it was a big deal to not know whether you would get a good or bad unit. Something to note is that the Kamvas Pro 16 doesn't come with a stand as standard, so if you're used to working with one, remember to select the 'with stand' option. Just a hunch as I don’t have this tablet yet–can it be that the tablet is so sensitive it is picking up minute muscle quaver in the user’s hand? The touch bar is non-customizable, and according to the user manual it has 3 preset functions (brush size +/-, zoom in/out, and scroll up/down) which can be toggled using the bottom shortcut key.

With that said, if you go look at my recent Wacom Intuos Pro 2017 review, you can see that the pen tilt on the Huion Kamvas Pro 13 is very competitive in smoothness to the pen tilt of the supposed “industry standard” tablet brand. Ideally, all the above tests should have at least a “Pass-ish” for their grades because the most vital function of a drawing tablet is to draw properly and predictably. I’m not sure but I think the 2019 model may have been slightly different, it has hotkeys down the sides of it so I don’t need a separate keypad. As a network service provider, HUION does not have the sufficient monitoring capacity with respect to any occurrence of infringement.

Most of the gripes I did have with the Huion Kamvas Pro 13 were pretty surface-level; the plug isn’t included and the octopus cable is, as with many pen displays, unwieldy and irritating. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with the Agreement shall be submitted to be settled by the people’s court in the place where HUION is located, as per the laws of P.inch, especially while they still only offer 1920x1080p resolution which can look pixellated on larger monitors when viewed up close to draw. The iPad Air is a general-use tablet, but with many programs running seamlessly thanks to its M1 chip, it’s a real boon for creatives. The Huion Kamvas Pro 16 is a great, affordable graphics drawing tablet that proves If there was ever a sign that Wacom should start to worry about the competition, it's now. is well worth considering due to the screen, with its smooth real feel and highly responsive surface, it might just be the best alternative to the market leader. The arrow points in the direction which the stroke was done, and the smoothness of the gradients show how smooth the pen pressure transitions.
