There is also an ambidextrous safety catch that stops it revving, so check both of these if nothing happens. If you want to take part in an intense head-to-head battle with power and precision, look no further than the Nerf Rival Nemesis MXVII-10K blaster! As a high-performing, fully automatic blaster, the Nemesis is an excellent trailblazer for the Prometheus and Perses models. Apart from the slight delay between trigger pull and firing, it feels like pretty much any other full-auto blaster – short squeeze and you fire one or two rounds, hold it down and you get a string of darts.

Power it with batteries or the Nerf Rival Rechargeable Battery Pack (batteries not included and battery pack sold separately). ThisIsWhyImBroke is reader supported, some products displayed may earn us a commission if you purchase through our links. When it comes to bonkers ammo capacity, the Nemesis is by far the greatest official option, but there are other DIY mods to go even further. I managed to clear several of them with a hefty shake, but one did require me to remove the hopper and fish the offending round out. Most of the time this was no problem as running around shakes them up plenty, but if you are on sentry duty, keep an eye open for this. Blaster Barn is not affiliated with Hasbro®, Nerf®, Dart Zone®, BOOMCo®, Buzz Bee®, Zing®, Lanard®, Adventure Force®, Zuru®, Larami®, or Koosh® in any way. I am still amazed that the best performance I have got from the Rival range is the baby Appollo’s 102 FPS! It did have a few stutters when the conveyor belt did not deliver a round to the flywheels in time, but it kept up a pretty consistent, and high, rate of fire. Unlike previous blasters, the Nemesis uses a large removable hopper with an agitator that advances the rounds into its flywheels.

The only downside is that you can empty the chamber is around 30 secs and you will lose balls all over the place. The firing mechanism is similar to the Khaos and Hyperfire in that it uses a conveyor belt system to deliver the darts to the flywheels rather than the pusher arm used in earlier NERF blasters like the RapidStrike.
