Written by Victor Margiotta and illustrated by Ian Parker, a mouth painter with the Mouth and Foot Painting Artists (MFPA). Slowly he begins to realise that with a lot of hard work he might just be able to achieve his dream after all.

I would sit down and look at my life and say, Listen, I could sit here and be miserable and depressed and say I have been given a bad rap, but everyone, some way or another, is given a bad rap. We have also worked on a collaborative 3D piece of work; creating flower and leaf studies from life and a vase image using inktense watercolour pencils. Written by Pat, the girls' voices are threaded throughout each chapter of In the Morning Light, using their own words taken from a documentary, a news program and their journals allowing them to tell their unique story of living and loving. Artist Gail Hurst, has been working with participants at Danny’s Dream as part of our Creative Connections project developing creative social groups.By night, you would catch lightning bugs to put in a jar for a lantern, illuminating each other's face in the dark. Imagine being a child living in your own magical kingdom, with mystical streams, enchanted forests, and your own little castle, shared with your best friend. I remember one bit where he was trying to pronounce “Dannymo’s” which I think was supposed to be Danny and Domino’s combined. We all really enjoyed sharing this book together, the kids loved the characters and the illustrations and we all really loved the ending. Despite this, she got a lot of enjoyment out of it, and the little discussions which came out of the story.

I’d definitely recommend it for children aged 5-8 and it would be a great addition to a school library. This series offers a wide range of age-appropriate, high-interest readers for children in Key Stage 2 and 3 who are struggling to make progress with their reading. She was utterly intrigued by the fact this was possible and amazed that each of the 34 illustrations had been painted in this way. When they could no longer act on stage, they focused on writing and illustrating their five children's books, which kept their imagination flowing. Unlike a picture hanging on the wall or holding a single card in your hands, you're interacting with the book and getting involved in it as you follow the words and images of the story.
