It works OK on Motion detection, Line Crossing detection, but the LEDs stay on when it's triggered under Intrusion detection. I have updated the firmware for the NVR and cameras to the latest available versions. I have configured the cameras to play and save audio from all four cameras, this is working as expected. The firmware inherits the changes and improvements and quirks first seen in the ColorVu G2 cameras : Initial review of the DS-2CD2347G2-L(U) ColorVu 2.0 IP camera. A selection of 4 standard and 2 custom scene profiles for image parameters, which can be set on up to 4 schedules. These are monthly schedules covering a whole year!

These cameras feature a bright, white LED light which helps to provide excellent colour image at night. Please keep in mind that these LED lights are quite bright and remain switched on at low light levels until light levels increase. This may not be suitable for all users, especially those in close, residential areas. WDR is better when it's dark but looks too light during the day, also I'm struggling with exposure, currently at 1/150 but dark at night. Of course, it's a good idea to read the release notes for each of the firmware, and definitely notice the note under version V5.6.4 build 191224: Then I’ve dropped the exposure to 1/500 and 1/1000 so the 4MP and 8MP ColorVu cameras can be compared. There are a number of scale expansions to otherwise existing and familiar configuration settings that should help users to fine tune the camera for their use case.

There will probably be some confusion over which firmware series is valid for this model – G3 or maybe the new G5.

I bought a Hikvision NVR (DS-7608NI-K2 / 8P) and a Hikvision DS-2CD2347G1-LU camera. The problem is that the camera is not working properly or I have something wrong. But I think it’s fair to say that there isn’t really much to choose between the 8MP and 4MP ColorVu cameras for low-light capability. After a few weeks of using it I can say this is a great camera and great value for money. Camera is well made and is very easy setup. Hikvision have also helpfully started publishing 2 camera features which should be of help to forum members : The camera uses the Hi3516CV500 SoC which has a fast dual-core CPU with secure boot and built-in NNIE (Neural Net Inference Engine) for video analytics. The G1 ColorVu is single-core.That's a little disappointing - perhaps it's because it's not 4K? Not sure why that would affect flash size though. Perhaps the spec for the model I have was considered to be over generous.

So what I’ve done here is some sample snapshots from the 8MP DS-2CD2087G2-LU, the original 4MP IPC-T2347G-LU (DS-2CD2347G1-LU) and the 8MP IPC-T2385G-I (DS-2CD2385G-I). Useful to know you can search function using serial number, question.....when searching via serial number only 9 characters are allowed, which 9 characters do I use from the screenshot attached ? I have tried the first 9 characters after the camera model name and the last 9 characters too, nothing found, not sure if I am doing this correct. My screenshot also shows current firmware version of cameras. Unfortunately, the G1 models use different firmware to the G2 models. The correct firmware families are linked below: With Video quality=Medium, at 15fps, the actual uncapped bitrate on a static scene is the same when using either h.264 or h.265Video Compression Main stream: H.265+/H.265/H.264+/H.264; Sub-stream: H.265/H.264/MJPEG; Third stream: H.265/H.264 No unfortunately not - the K series uses different firmware. I’d assumed the issue was with the camera firmware rather than NVR. I have 2 Hikvision OEM camera's and my question is how do i update/upgrade these ones. (they are OEM) CBR stands for constant bit rate, aims for a constant or unvarying bandwidth level with video quality allowed to vary ColorVu Technology works to provide full colour images 24/7. The camera is able to achieve this with a large iris, high-performance sensor and supplement lighting.
