Volume 2 also did a great job wrapping up the prologue and I’m so excited to see where our characters go now! It gives the walking dead vibes as expected but absolutely adorable like the prime minister struggling to try and come up with methods to save humanity but yet there can be no harm done to the cats (of course! A virus spreads across the world, transforming all humankind into wild, slavering, furry beasts: cats, to be precise.

Read more about the condition New: A new, unread, unused book in perfect condition with no missing or damaged pages. Now, with Tsutsumi's allergies as a cat detector, Kunagi is striving to keep his small band of survivors from going feline. Due to the way it's written and displayed, I can't feel any care for the mc or his team, the most that can happen is that they turn into cats like everyone else, at this point it doesn't feel like a big deal especially since they all love cats so much, so why bother? In a zombie apocalypse setting, the things that makes you root for the protagonist is the threat of death and total extermination of the human race, but here it just doesn't matter. It was so hilarious with no one wanting to hurt these cats and loving being in their presence as well as feeling sheer panic at the same time. With cats carrying a disease that will convert humans into new cats our main team of survivors narrowly escape their formally safe haven to find help and possibly security. And the horde is expanding, since if these adorable kitties snuggle with a human, the human is transformed into yet another cat. The characters are also well-drawn, with their expressions and body language perfectly conveying their fear and desperation. Creative and funny idea, and while the actions taken are pretty much copy-pasted from a lot of apocalypse flicks only changed to be non-violent and use cat stuff, it falls flat pretty hard.

The art is inconsistent in some places (it looks very detailed and well-drawn on some pages and the proportions were off on the other pages) but all the cats are very well-drawn and super cute. But when a peculiar white kitty with a large jewel produces an earsplitting screech, all the cats in the city converge on their location! If you're a big cat fan definitely check out this series but if you don't have any particular attachment to felines then maybe you can skip this manga and read something else.Jonathon has always been fascinated by media, from the big hitters to the small, obscure, and often overlooked titles that linger on the sidelines, capturing both the on and off-camera stories that make these shows so fascinating. I can't see this having the potential for more than 3 volumes really and I'm surprised that the author still manages to publish it. It's a premise that seems utterly ridiculous at first, but the way it's executed is nothing short of genius. A small group of cat-loving survivors is trying to escape the madness, but how can you defend yourself against a threat you just want to cuddle and pet?

The people living in this world don't find it funny, they find it horrifying that this is happening. Nothing violent is actually going on and he's using common everyday cat items to solve issues, like catnip to attract or incapacitate the cats, cat toys to distract them, water to repel and all this while being incredibly upset about the cats "hating him now" and having extreme internal clashes of conscience. When the Parasol Corporation 'accidentally' releases the C Virus into Ferret City's water supply, all of the Cat Girls begin dying. The story is even dumber than expected, and the translated dialogue by Nan Rhymer--a veteran translator--is almost as bad. Now, the last three Cat Girls left alive head for the only place they think they will be safe, a cabin in the middle of the Haunted Forest. However, for membership rank calculation, the monthly purchase amount is calculated based on the eBook's release date. This, mixed with the dark, ruined locations they explore gives the series a very gritty atmosphere, to the point that the series often resembles manga from the mid to late '90s.

Due to this, he has no idea about his past, how he ended up in this strange world, or how he has survived for this long. Since then, Jonathon has maintained a passion for anime, watching most new shows each season and hunting down overlooked gems from previous ones.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. If only the author made things even more ridiculous, added some people that were anti-cat and acted reasonably to make it a bit more complex, showed more emotions from characters, gave the cast a good reason not to just get infected and give up and changed the artstyle to be more gag-like/less detailed in favor of providing more emotion, such as weird facial expressions, overly surprised mugshots, the cats showing surprise at his actions with warped expressions like snot running out their noses, big eyes and open mouths, this would be a masterpiece. The art style is delightfully retro, so readers who grew up with 90s manga will also get a big hit of nostalgia from Night of the Living Cat, further adding to the book's appeal. I must say, I had the pleasure of experiencing "A Night of the Living Cat," and it was an absolute trip.
