Description

The ISOMETRICTM technology equalizes the length of the main and cross strings in the string bed, enlarging the sweet spot for consistent accuracy even on off-center hits. The ARCSABER frame is designed to flex at the point of impact to hold the shuttle on the string bed for longer. By storing and then releasing energy, ARCSABER delivers precise shot-making for players seeking a higher level of control. Positioned at the sides of the racquet, CS Carbon Nanotubes improve the frame’s elasticity, holding the shuttle on the string bed for enhanced control at the point of impact. Smash is easy, very accurate, controlled, and forgiving a well, I would say it’s better than Arcsaber 10. Don’t expect a smash that’s powerful and solid like Yonex Voltric Z Force 2, but then for sure, it’s also much more forgiving. Mid Court and Net Area Performance One way to look at it is that it helps you hit and guide the shuttle towards where you want it to, which if you’re only looking to hammer shots off, might not matter as much to you. In an attempt to make this more tangible, I’ll give you an arbitrary number as that can sometimes be easier to understand. It felt as if I was able to hit one meter (roughly one yard) further on a clear, or with 25% more power, when using the powerful Yonex Astrox 100 Game compared to the Arcsaber 11 Play if I didn’t concentrate hard on my technique during the shot (as is often the case if we’re under pressure during a match).

I’ve also looked a little bit into racquets like the Brave Sword 12 which seems to be a quite cheap racquet good for learning badminton. However, I’ve pretty much only looked at Yonex so feel free to recommend other racquet from Victor, Li Ning, etc… The Play edition I’ve been play-testing in this review is made in China, with cheaper material, and in part, different technology. It’s super affordable at about a third of the price of the Pro, which is made in Japan. The Tour falls somewhere in the middle and is made in Taiwan. My clears were sailing to the rear court with relative ease. As you would expect from a Yonex racquet, there is minimal torsion which meant that when I hit slightly off centre the shuttle still flew true – this is very important when testing racquets. Overall I was delighted with the power from the clear. Strategically positioned at the sides of the racquet, CS Carbon Nanotubes enhance the frame's elasticity. This technology improves durability and flexibility, helping the frame return to its original shape faster. The result is enhanced control at the point of impact, giving you an edge in every shot. In 2013 Yonex surprised us all by launching two additional racquets in the Arcsaber range, namely Arcsaber 11 and the unusually named Flashboost. Many Yonex followers were expecting to see a scaled down Arcsaber range in 2013 on the premise that this is the next range to be withdrawn and a new successor announced. The Control Support Cap features an 88% wider flat surface compared to ordinary racquets. This design provides easier gripping, fast follow-through, and unparalleled maneuverability. This product was first released on February 25, 2022, making it a relatively new addition to the market. Documentation/User Guide

The key question to ask firstly is what style of player are you, or what type of player do you want to become? The balance point for Yonex was 295mm, it feels lighter than Arcsaber 10 and very well balanced, really slightly head heavy though. As I said, I can’t try any of these racquets, which is what annoys me so much, if I could try them I already would’ve bought one 🙁 I also don’t think I’ll get the VT80. Although it does come in 4U, I just think that the AS11 would be a better choice. The VT80 just doesn’t seem to be a good all rounder which would fit me.If you are interested in exploring the user guide, you can find it here. Features – What We Found Lightweight and Maneuverable The single-pass grommet hole construction offers a high-performance stringing pattern, providing more grommet holes for optimal stringing. I say “should” because I found it similar to the Arcsaber 11 Play in being strong across the board with no obvious downsides, but also found that I had to adjust my technique quite a bit to get the full use out of it. I often mistimed my shots with the Astrox 77 Play and at times, I struggled to feel the tad bit extra head power when comparing them directly. In the middle, there’s the Tour-version which is slightly more affordable than the Pro but follows a similar set of specs and requires a higher skill level (like the Pro) than the Play to enjoy playing with. I noticed that the added control over the shuttle was especially handy on tight shots around the net and midcourt where a slight difference in placement can make or break a shot.
