The fourth volume followed with the fourth DVD on September 28, the fifth volume was released on October 26 while the sixth and seventh volumes were released on November 27 and December 21, 2007, respectively. The manga begins with the same infamous ‘choco coronet’ scene as the anime, only in the manga, it ends as soon as Miyuki tells Konata which end is the head.

From left to right: Tsukasa, Patricia, Ayano, Konata, Yutaka, Minami, Kagami, Hiyori, Misao, Miyuki.the volumes are just a big pile of random comic strips, there's no real storyline to the manga or anime itself. Meet Konata, an athletic and intelligent girl too dedicated to her favorite primetime animes to excel in anything but otaku culture; Miyuki, the cute, be spectacled living example of Moe with an encyclopedic knowledge of all subjects; Kagami, the bitter-sweet, tough but shy sister; Tsukasa, a kind but air-headed klutz.

Four more character CDs followed on September 26, 2007, sung by the voice actresses Shizuka Hasegawa as Yutaka, Minori Chihara as Minami, Kaori Shimizu as Hiyori, and Nozomi Sasaki as Patricia. Now, I have not bought Bandai’s release of it, so I know nothing of their translations, but I found the manga a lot better than the anime. There is also a "Drama Mode" where the game plays like a mini-adventure game as you make your way to Akihabara. Indeed, I have always assumed Lucky Star to be Konata's series, where one would read the manga to get more of Konata, "literally /ourgirl/, one might say. I can see why it kept being recommended to me as an Azumanga fan - the same set of four-panel "stories" arranged in vague episodes, following a group of girls throughout high school, with a female otaku as the novelty character instead of a child prodigy in that role. There have been three light novels based on the series published by Kadokawa Shoten under their Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko label. One of the original series he created was Lucky Star, which became popular and was subsequently picked up as a regular series. The first tankōbon volume of the manga was published on January 8, 2005, and as of October 26, 2013, ten volumes have been released. Anyway, as is most important w/r/t slice-of-life moeshit, I have concluded as of the end of this volume that Kagami is Best Girl. Despite the negative reaction by some of the locals, the Washinomiya Shrine hosted a Lucky Star event in December 2007, featuring special guests including the author Kagami Yoshimizu, and the voice actors Hiromi Konno, Emiri Katō, Kaori Fukuhara, and Minoru Shiraishi.

In term of language, yes there were those occurred ques in transition from one language to another particularly the lacking of additional words to make it more of western English dialect. The fifth light novel is written by Heisei Izu and Kei Tanaka, and feature illustrations by Kagami Yoshimizu, Lucky Star: Hitome Konata ni ( らき☆すた ひとめこなたに), was published on February 1, 2012. An audio drama CD based on the series was released in August 2005, and the series spawned four video games released between 2005 and 2009. As regards the Lucky Star release, it seems to me that the issue is that it is a translation, and not a transliteration.
