Description

The battery level LEDs of the battery and remote controller blink in sequence to display the current battery level during charging. After fully charged, the four Battery Level LEDs emit a solid light. Do not charge battery immediately after flight, because the battery temperature may be too high. Do not charge the battery until it cools down to near room temperature. Charging battery outside of the temperature range of 0℃-40℃ may lead to leakage, overheating, or battery damage. Insert the battery to the aircraft, connect the USB-C charger or PD fast charger to the USB-C port of the aircraft, and the Battery Level LEDs in an array blink successively. The DJI Phantom 3 intelligent flight battery supports input of 12V 1.5 A / 9V 2A / 5V 3A. 6. Overheating You can try factory resetting the drone with the battery that is having problems to start of with clean software.

Discharge the battery until there is less than 8% power or until it can no longer be turned on, then recharge it to the maximum capacity. This power cycling procedure will optimize the battery life.

DJI Intelligent Flight Battery Fix:

This is really not important if you have already refreshed the firmware, but just in case there is still some error in the software that hasn’t been solved with a firmware refresh. The Intelligent Flight Battery with the highest power level will be charged first, and then the rest will be charged in sequence according to their power levels.

Generally, batteries can’t hold a charge if not used and that can decrease their life span, to avoid this problem, DJI introduced hibernation mode, So when the battery is not used for some time It will go to hibernation mode, or different components of the battery to “sleep” to protect the battery from the free flow of charge, and that is most probably why your Phantom 3 battery seems like it is not charging. During the charging process, the battery level LEDs of both the Intelligent Flight Battery and the remote controller will blink sequentially, indicating the current battery level. After fully charged, the four Battery Level LEDs emit a solid light. Please disconnect the aircraft and charger. The Intelligent Flight Batteries offer super-long flight times of up to 30 minutes as well as LEDs on the battery that show the pilot the status of the remaining power left in the battery in real-time.

Insert the batteries into the charging hub, connect the charger to the charging hub, and the Status LEDs in an array blink successively. The battery can be fully charged in about 50 minutes. After the battery is fully charged, the corresponding LEDs will change to solid green. The battery can be disconnected from the charging hub when charging is complete. Connect the battery to the charger, and the Battery Level LEDs in an array blink successively. The charging time for one battery is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. After fully charged, the four Battery Level LEDs are off. Detach the charger after charging is complete.

Insert the battery to the aircraft, connect the provided DJI 65W Portable Charger to the USB-C port of the aircraft, and the Battery Level LEDs in an array blink successively. The charging time for one battery is approximately 1 hour and 36 minutes. After fully charged, the four Battery Level LEDs are off. Detach the charger after charging is complete. Your battery may not be charging due to outdated software, a damaged battery, or a faulty charger, with perhaps bent pins. there are possible issues both software and hardware and it can be hard to ascertain which is causing it but here are some things that might be causing it- End the flight as soon as possible if the Low Battery Level Warning appears when you are flying in low temperature environments. When the voltmeter has a reading of above 20.00V you can then reconnect the balancing plug and recharge the drone as per normal.Do not plug the battery in the charger and go to attend to other business. Ensure that you keep your eye on the chargers’ status bar. It will always indicate the charging level. Keeping an eye on it ensures that you don’t overcharge the battery. Insert the batteries into the charging hub, connect the USB charger or PD fast charger to the USB-C port of the charging hub, and the Status LEDs in an array blink successively. Never let your drone battery get wet, if your battery is soaked in some water you should dispose of it immediately. The battery capacity is significantly reduced when flying in cold environments (i.e. air temperatures below 0 degree Celsius).

As the aircraft will naturally generate heat when charging the battery mounted on the aircraft, the charging power will be limited, and the charging time will be slightly longer than when using the battery charging hub. Very carefully and gently disconnect the balancing plug/loom(Lithium Polymer balance plug) to the IC. AND you do not wish to pursue DJI support warranty OR you are outside the 6 months Battery Warranty Period, here’s a tip on reviving the battery’s cells. After the batteries are installed, the charging hub can supply power to external devices via the USB-C port, such as remote controllers or mobile phones. Each drone battery type has a different temperature you should be charging the battery at. You can find this temperature in the user manual for the drone. Usually, people follow the general rule of charging the drone between 22 to 28 degrees celsius. The charging hub can use the power accumulation function to transfer the remaining power of multiple low-power batteries into the battery with the highest remaining power.
