br>The small pipette makes application very easy - we find putting small drops onto into an area the size of a 10p piece. Treatment of tick infestations (Ixodes ricinus, Dermacentor variabilis, Dermacentor reticulatus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus). When treating infestations of parasites, all in-contact animals should be treated with an appropriate product at the same time. However, fleas are killed after contact with your treated pet: within 24 hours for FRONTLINE PLUS ® and FRONTLINE ® SPOT ON, or within 6 hours for FRONTLINE TRI-ACT ®. Keeping your dog safe and healthy is essential, and one way to do this is to protect them from potentially dangerous parasites like ticks and fleas.

Ticks, fleas, and biting lice not only suck the extra nutrition out of your pet’s body but also disrupt their normal routine. For continuous protection against fleas and ticks, Frontline Spot On must be applied monthly to your dog. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. To treat dogs over 60 kg with FRONTLINE ® SPOT ON, use two large-sized pipettes for dogs from 20 to 40 kg.

It is therefore recommended that animals are not treated during the day, but should be treated during the early evening, and that recently treated animals are not allowed to sleep with owners, especially children. It is good practice to use a preventative flea treatment anyway as prevention is always easier than treatment when it comes to external parasites.

Unlike other flea treatments, FRONTLINE Pluskills ticks too, helping to reduce the risk of tick-borne disease transmission. It can be applied to dogs from 8 weeks of age that weigh at least 2kg and can also be used on pregnant and lactating dogs. Miliary Dermatitis is clinical sign rather than a diagnosis in itself, a bit like saying your cat has a crusty rash.Your dog can easily pick up fleas and ticks and if they do it's important they are treated straight away to stop them from spreading around your home. They die by 'excitation' so it is expected to see increased flea activity during this 48 hour period as the fleas are killed.
