If you’re looking to immerse yourself in the woods then I really can’t recommend the Epping Forest Oak Trail walk enough. Book a hotel for a few nights, enjoy a country walk followed by a classic English cream tea, then cosy up in the evening in front of a log fire in a country manor. First discovered in 1838, the mysterious Shell Grotto ranks right up there with Stonehenge as one of the UK’s biggest mysteries.

Whether you're luxuriating in Sissinghurst's famous gardens or moseying around Fountains Abbey, you're sure to have a uniquely British adventure. For me, this is one of the best adventures in the UK, so I’m really excited to finally tick this off my Great British bucket list. The adventures to be ticked off the list also include glamping exploring ancient castles and foraging for wild food. You’ll find the Stiperstsones in the heart of the Shropshire Hills, and the views of the English and Welsh countryside here are absolutely stunning. No trip to the region is complete without a visit to Chatsworth House, which is home to over 1000 acres of beautiful parkland and gardens. She was a super-rich socialite who threw the wildest parties for royalty, politicians and celebrities of the time.

The hospitality industry has suffered greatly over the last 12 months with mass closures, unemployment and little government support.Don’t count this as the definitive guide yet either; this is a post we plan to update regularly, as we explore different parts of our beautiful homeland and learn about what makes the different regions special. From the Twatts of northern Scotland to the Bottoms of England, via the fabled Pants of Wales, Britain’s funny, rude and delightfully odd place names are not only bewildering, but also truly world-class.

Since 1930, audiences have enjoyed live productions of classical operas, Shakespearean dramas, modern musicals, and everything in between. Now that they’ve changed the filming location to Wales, it’s a lot easier pretending you’re on the show.Lots of people break it up into lots of short trips over a few years, as to complete it in one go would take close to two months! Dine at Simon Rogan’s 2 star restaurant L’Enclume, Cottage in the Wood (our current favourite) or HRiSHi (the one that’s on our can’t-wait-to-visit list! To mark this occasion, we’re getting an extended bank holiday from Thursday 2 nd to Sunday 5 th June. It’s hardly surprising restaurants in Padstow headed up by the likes of Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth attract food lovers to this town year after year.
