When deciding between the two, it is essential to consider individual preferences and playing styles

VICE Golf Pro and Pro Plus golf balls provide golfers with Tour-level performance at a price below the big name competitors. Loads of color options, especially in the Pro model. How did I like them? The Vice Pro Plus golf balls performed really well for me and I found them pretty similar to the ProV1x balls from Titleist. The distance was just as long as some of the higher-end balls and they didn’t launch as high (which some lower handicaps will like). The only downside is that you have to buy in bulk to get them cheap and the durability isn’t as good as it should be. We’re caught up and that means the Vice Pro has the distinction of being the first ball for which we have two generations’ worth of data in Ball Lab. So, in addition to our standard Ball Lab metrics, having a bit of history allows us to compare quality across generations and see where things have improved, devolved or stayed the same. About the Vice Pro Golf Ball The Pro Plus features a lower, more penetrating ball flight, making it advantageous in windy situations. The first aspect to examine when comparing the Vice Pro and Pro Plus is their respective construction. The Vice Pro Plus golf ball has 4-Piece construction with a cast urethane cover. Vice designed the ball to provide the lower launch and spin desired by many fast swingers. MyGolfSpy ball testing also showed the Pro Plus to be a strong performer with irons. It finished within the top 10 for distance with high speed iron swings, but with a manageable spin number to hold greens. That’s what makes the Pro Plus the best Vice golf ball for high speed swings. With the price of Pro Plus balls approximately 25% less than premium choices, it will not hurt to lose golf balls anymore. Durability

As the Ball Lab database has grown, we’ve come to understand that quality typically begins and ends at the factory level. While there can be some variance between models—for example, low-compression balls tend to be less consistent than high-compression balls—for the most part, we have a good idea of what to expect from balls coming out of any given facility. Thus, making it a popular choice for players seeking a high-quality ball without breaking the bank. Vice Pro Plus Review: The Pro model is tailored to golfers seeking an optimal feel, which is almost comparable to the Chrome Soft. In our sample of the 2016 Vice Pro, 17 percent of the balls we measured exceeded the USGA weight limit (and flagged as “bad” accordingly).

Introduction

Designed for golfers who demand distance and control, the Vice Pro Plus is a four-piece golf ball that excels in challenging conditions. The True Price will always be equal to or greater than the retail price. The greater the difference between the retail price and the True Price, the more you should be concerned about the quality of the ball. Both the Vice Pro and Vice Pro Plus golf balls have urethane covers and multi-piece construction similar to the big name Tour balls. As such, my expectations for feel were quite high.

Concentricity issues are problematic, though likely not out of the realm of what’s tolerable considering the price (especially if you buy in bulk). Foremost does an outstanding job with size so it’s not surprising that we had no issues with diameter across our Vice Pro samples.I don’t use ProV golf balls often but I did find them to be pretty similar and a lot of people are saying the same thing. I still don’t use the Pro Plus balls because the ones I prefer are slightly better for my swing and are a bit cheaper. Overall, I’d say they’re a good golf ball and would give them a thumbs up. If you want a more detailed review or you want to find out where the cheapest place to get them is, then continue reading. What did stand out for both models was the consistency. Many golfers are concerned about balls from smaller companies because of quality control issues. In all the wedge shots I hit, I did not get a single unexpected result. Long Game
