You really want app support: They do amazing things without a companion app (on-ear volume control, EQ profiles, access to voice assistants – it's all here) but if you'd like one, you won't find it here.

EarFun Air - Review | ThePhonograph.net EarFun Air - Review | ThePhonograph.net

As we said in our review of the Earfun Air, it’s rare that we award five stars to a pair of true wireless headphones at this ultra-low price point, since cheap rarely means good value. Simply put, it does here. Elsewhere, the EarFun Air offers a lot of everything else you could want. There's wireless charging which continues to be the most effort-free way of recharging earbuds. During our testing, the sound presentation is well-balanced, relatively transparent, taut and full through the bass, and musically pleasing overall. Verdict Users will be granted a noticeable partial isolation from the environment as soon as they wear them. However, that sense of energy only exists at higher volumes. Turn the volume down and energy and dynamism are diminished, bass handling is weaker and the experience becomes unengaging. Volume-wise, there isn’t the widest operating window for the Free 2 to display their talents.Considering you'll get excellent audio here, decent battery life and an app we enjoyed using, the Cambridge Audio Melomania 1 Plus are fantastic all-rounders and great value.

Also, a waterproof rating of IPX7 means you can submerge them in water up to a depth of 1m for up to 30 minutes. Always useful. So, do Earfun’s true wireless Air headphones sound as good as in-ears at double, triple or quadruple the price? The answer is no. If you have the money and prioritise a superior sound, irrespective of useful features such as waterproofing or wearer detection, there are models that will better suit you. But until now, we’ve never awarded five stars to a set of true wireless headphones at this budget level –despite testing models from well-known and highly respected audio brands. EarFun estimates the battery life to be roughly 6 hours, with an extra 24 hours in the battery case. That's a little better than average for the true wireless field, and impressive considering the price, but remember that your results will vary with your volume levels. The charging case uses USB-C, and can also charge wirelessly on a Qi pad. Indeed, the EarFun Air carries a very competent IPX7 waterproof rating, which should make them capable of holding up against dangerous situations (water-related) without damaging, in comparison to many other true wireless earbuds. Due to this tuning, the EarFun Air will be able to grant highs that can be listened for long time without getting annoyingly sibilant/piercing but neither being overly muddy nor dark.

Beyond those three profiles, there’s no scope to tweak the levels of noise-cancelling, and without app support you can’t activate them on your phone. However, once we get the hang of tapping just below the mic at the top of the stem rather than on the mic itself, it’s a solution that works well. The earbuds operate on a Bluetooth 5.2 connection, and at the time of the review, that’s the latest version. The TrueWireless mirroring tech grants the opportunity to listen to audio and take calls with both earbuds or just a single one. With aptX, AAC and SBC codecs supported, the EarFun cater to both Android or iOS devices.

Do you intend to workout with your earbuds? If so, you'll need buds that will stay put, so look out for interchangeable eartips and fins to hold them in place. Just keep an eye on volume with the EarFun Air. Crank it up too high and things turn distorted – but it's not good for your ears anyhow. The SoundMagic E11BTs are an extremely capable pair of wireless in-ear earphones, and given their low price they're fantastic value. We genuinely found it difficult to fault them —the audio quality is fantastic and they look very elegant. Of course, these earbuds aren't going to compare with high-end buds that are double – or even triple – the price, but our testing is independent, which means we can assure you that you're getting the best sound-per-pound experience. The EarFun Free 2 offers a good array of features that open them up for use for various purposes. Are you a keen gym and fitness fanatic? Along with their solid fit, the Free 2 offer IPX7 resistance, which means they’re fully waterproof and should happily survive any encounters with rain and sweat. The sound will please a majority of general users. I would prefer a little more precision, but then, I'm an Etymotics sort of person and my other iems are all detail oriented with faster, more resolving drivers. A sweep finds 10hz deliver an audible rumble with a slightly resonant boom between 50-90hz. The drivers were well matched and I couldn't find any other issues such as driver flex / housing creak. I'm really happy getting this sort of consistency in design from earbuds at this price range. Perhaps they can tweak the onboard DSP a bit given that there wasn't that much absolute roll-off.

The EarFun Air is a single driver headphone. Which means that the EarFun Air has 1 driver per side. What type of headphone is the EarFun Air? Among other special features, the EarFun offers USB Type-C connectors, wireless charging compatibility, 4 microphones and single & mono modes. Last but not the least, inside the buds case you will find a button that is used to start the pairing procedure. EarFun TW200 Review – SoundThis little-known company has produced a comfortable, nicely built set of headphones that also boast excellent battery life, wireless charging support and an expansive listen. If you’re after something inexpensive that’ll sound good on the treadmill, the Earfun Air buds are simply some of the best cheap wireless headphones you can buy. Once in the ear, the EarFun’s design offers solid noise-isolating qualities and good levels of comfort. They’re big and bulbous, and that’s enough to plug the ear and reduce the impact of external sounds. We tested the earbuds in a number of different sound environments across a vast selection of musical genres. We listened to podcasts and albums in both quiet rooms and busy aeroplanes, to ensure we knew how they'd handle varying levels of noise too. We also wore them while walking and, often, working out, which meant we could speak to their comfort levels, ANC if available, and how secure they are in your ear. I tend to forever need bigger ear tips and the similar applies here, with the bigger ear tips that are included the fit is just great. I can move around without too much risk of them falling out, but I would not want to go to a run with these earbuds. The earbuds have the ability to protect water at a level of IPX5. That means it can against water jets 12.5L/min, for example, squirt gun or sweat from exercise. So, the EarFun TW302 is good for outdoor sport and indoor sports. But can’t wear them for swimming or working out whilst hard raining.
