Like an original Negroni, this update is a perfect palate-opener before a meal, stimulating the appetite with its back and forth between bitter and sweet. If you want to impress the toughest cocktail enthusiasts, tell them it got its name from “Florodora,” a popular musical comedy that débuted in London in 1899. Think more berry skin than berry fruit, complete with a fairly astringent quality later in the game.

Bombay Sapphire is marketed in a flat-sided, sapphire-coloured bottle that bears a picture of Queen Victoria on the label.

The eponymously named Bramble cocktail is an example of a modern classic that allows BOMBAY BRAMBLE to shine. Bombay Sapphire has been reviewed by several outside spirit ratings organizations to various degrees of success. Or for a twist on the classic Bramble cocktail, add 50ml Bombay Bramble, 25ml of freshly squeezed lemon juice and 20ml sugar syrup into a Boston Shaker.

Eight botanical ingredients are used in the production of the Original Dry variety, as opposed to the ten in Bombay Sapphire. BOMBAY BRAMBLE is best enjoyed simply with tonic, poured over ice and garnished with a squeeze of lemon. To play it to the max, pair it with a ginger-scented shortcake topped with fresh berries and plenty of whipped cream. For pairing, combinations of fruitiness and bitterness will highlight the flavors in the drink, like strawberries dipped in dark chocolate.

I thought this would just be a time-saver to just combine with lemon juice and maybe a bit of tonic or soda water, but I'm really sorry to say this isn't good at all. If you’re looking for a high-quality gin that will impress your friends and family, then you should definitely consider a top shelf option. For the most part, that’s not hyperbole: The gin really is flavored with “freshly harvested fruit and hand selected botanicals,” though the fine print notes that black carrots and black currants are used for color.

Then they add “natural flavors of blackberries and raspberries,” which were “ harvested at the peak of ripeness. Bombay Sapphire was used in the video work Victoria Day (Bombay Sapphire), 2002 by contemporary artists Marina Roy and Abbas Akhavan.Their works, varying from martini glasses to tiles and cloth patterns, are labelled as "Inspired by Bombay Sapphire". While the original was made with a mix of dry gin and blackberry liqueur, this modern version highlights the rich, vibrant flavors of a berry-based gin and is perfect for serving outdoors on a clear day or in your favorite sunroom. In fact, this like-with-like approach can actually flip the script, providing an even baseline that spotlights the berry notes instead. The refusal to add additional sugar and artificial flavours increases Bombay Bramble’s versatility and provides a far more sophisticated taste. There are many other cocktails that can be made with Bombay Sapphire gin, such as the Tom Collins, the French 75, and the Southside.

Made with freshly harvested blackberries and raspberries, capturing the real flavour and essence of the fruit when they are most ripe, imparting their rich, vibrant characteristics.

The finalists (one from each participating country) are then invited to the yearly Salone del Mobile, an international design fair in Milano, where the winner is chosen.
