Description

The 4GEE Home Router 2 meanwhile matches the Huawei B535 / Huawei HomeFi Plus for speed, and can connect up to 64 devices at once, but it has two (rather than four) ethernet ports. So again, it’s not quite as good as the B535. In terms of LTE speeds, the Huawei B535 was able to convince in the test. Although the device was tested in the test with unlimited SIM cards from Vodafone, it was far from the theoretical maximum, but with well over 150 Mbit/s in the downlink and up to 70 Mbit/s in the uplink, you can do a good life. We also take a comparison test with the Netgear Nighthawk M2 Router and it shows that the network theoretically enables even higher speeds. Their assumption is simply that a connecting client should implement which, in my case (and perhaps any scenario with a second router) requires CLAT to operate in the 4G modem/router -- which the B535-333 should do .... but only in IPv6-only mode. The B535 routers from Three, seem to work fine with Three and some other carriers but not all and not in a consistent way. I did have a B535-232, it worked fine on Three, Lyca & Lebara but for some reason it would not work with an iD mobile SIM, my B535-333 works fine with iD but only 3G with Lyca. Strangely, mine works fine with an EE SIM and shows a 4G+ connection (band aggregation?) but is on a later version of firmware. In theory, the modem of the Huawei B535 LTE router can reach speeds of up to 300 Mbit/s in the downlink and up to 100 Mbit/s in the uplink (LTE Cat7). Almost all frequency bands important for Europe are supported, as the following list shows. Only the band 32 (1,500 MHz) cannot be used by the router, but there are no restrictions. Huawei does not provide any information about the possible CA combinations.

So the question is: just how good is the Huawei B535? And should you buy it or should you look elsewhere for your home broadband needs? Read on to find out. Design The Three 5G Hub meanwhile has them all massively beat for speed – but again, you need 5G coverage to take advantage of that. It also curiously has fewer ethernet ports (just two), which might be an issue for some. Anyways, I kinda lost interest, I hardly use my mobile phone at all, {except to lookup the time of my bus} so am not so very miffed by not getting As soon as a wall came between the router and the end device, the data rate dropped noticeably. Fast surfing and video streaming was also about 10 meters away from the router and was still possible without problems after two walls. The Wi-Fi range of the Huawei B535 was convincing in the test! It’s one of two 4G home broadband devices available from the network at the time of writing, but with the other (the Huawei AI Cube) also being a smart speaker, this will likely be the default device for many buyers. Featuring the latest CAT13 4G Modem technology, the B535 router will provide one of the fastest 4G network connections, and deliver this to your office computers and servers via wired Ethernet connectivity or to your office wireless devices, laptops and tablets to share your high speed 4G connection. If you already had a few LTE routers in hand, the first thing you notice about the Huawei B535 is the comparatively flat design. The body of Huawei 4G Router 3 Pro is made of gray and white plasti and visually unobtrusive. Various LEDs are located on the front, which indicate the operating status. For example, the reception strength is signaled using five bars. There are also LEDs for power, internet, WLAN and LAN. Thanks for the firmware info, I found a copy of B535-333 11.0.2.51(H380SP2C21) online & might try to downgrade mine from the slightly later Three version on mine:

Beyond these, the most obvious alternative is fibre broadband. This is potentially faster (depending on what’s available where you are), but setup is more time consuming and typically requires an engineer visit. You also typically need a landline, which can add to the cost. PlansThere’s also the option to connect an external antenna as it has support for two SMA antennas, to potentially improve the range and performance of the device. This again is a match for most rival devices. photos maximum, each photo's size should be less than 10MB (bmp, jpg, png, gif, and jpeg are supported)
