Description

To mix your formula you simply add water to the pitcher, add the powdered formula, and assemble the pitcher top with the mixing blade attachment. Gently pumping up and down on the top handle mixes the formula perfectly. By using the unique blade and pumping motion to mix the formula this greatly reduces the amount of air and prevents foam from forming. Infants that have issues with gas will greatly benefit from this mixing technique. The Specs

The unique design of Dr. Brown’s natural flow bottles is a lifesaver for parents of fussy babies who seem uncomfortable after eating. The internal vent system in these bottles reduces air bubbles and the slow flow nipples ensure your baby gets just the right amount of milk. Must-know details: I did the pitcher method and it was SO helpful. I bought 2 pitchers, and essentially whatever I pumped that day was the next day’s milk. So I pumped, put caps on the bottles that I pumped into and just popped those into the fridge to cool down to fridge temperature. Then whenever I had a a minute and the bottles were cool, I would just swirl them and then dump them into the pitcher. At the end of the day, I would fill up all of the next days bottles and leave them in the fridge. So all of the bottles for the next day were made and waiting in the fridge. Then I would put an leftover milk from the pitcher into freezer bags and then wash the pitcher. Since I was filling up the pitchers a day ahead, this always worked really easily. So, to make it more clear, at the end of each day, in the fridge I had all of the baby bottles filled for the next day and an empty and cleaned pitcher ready to fill up throughout the next day. This was easiest for me because I could do all of the bottle filling and pitcher cleaning after the baby went down to sleep, and had all the bottles done for the next day and a clean pitcher ready to go before going to sleep myself. My baby always had a hard time with every bottle out there but once I gave my baby this one baby took it right away with no problems.” —Walmart.com review Keep in mind: If the thought of babies and glass sounds a bit dangerous to you, rest assured that glass bottles have come a long way in recent years. Some parents still prefer glass over plastic, for its natural components and no worries of dangerous plastic chemicals.

Final Verdict

The best part about this sippy bottle is that the straw cup and the silicone handles fit all Dr. Brown’s 8 oz bottles, so you can easily transfer the straw to clean bottles while washing the dirty ones. Must-know details: So in my fridge at all times, I had all the bottles for the day and a pitcher being filled with milk for the next day (plus the bottles from my most recent pump that were also in the fridge cooling down, waiting to be added to the pitcher). NEVER combine different temperature milk. Dr. Brown’s narrow nipple really helped my baby to feed well. The slow-flow nipple works with the internal vent system for paced feeding. Each nipple has the same consistent flow rate, so my baby knows what to expect.” —Walmart.com review Keep in mind: Using a formula pitcher lets you mix a larger batch of formula, up to 24 hours in advance, which you can pour into a bottle in the middle of the night. It saves time, and keeps your baby from getting wrongly mixed formula when you’re too tired to think straight. When you’re ready to bottle or pitcher prep, wash your hands and prep your bottles, nipples, and your pitcher, if using one, to be sure they are clean and sterile. 3 Mixing the baby formula

Dr. Brown’s offers a wide range of products to meet the various feeding needs of infants. Here we review several of their top baby bottle and infant feeding products, so you can weigh the pros and cons and make the best choice for you and your little one. With the Dr. Brown’s mixing pitcher you can make approximately 32 oz of formula at a time! A huge time saver for busy parents. The Dr. Brown’s Formula Mixing Pitcher is the best when it comes to mixing large amounts of formula for your little one. This pitcher comes with a uniquely designed blade the easily dissolves and mixes powered formula with no clumping and less foam than shaking a bottle. How to Use the Dr. Brown’s Pitcher All Dr. Brown’s nipples are designed to accompany the anti-colic internal vent system and offer vacuum-free feeding to reduce air bubbles. While some babies prefer faster milk flow as they get older, each baby has their own preference and you may need to try out different nipples to find which one works best. Easy measuring: Allows you to pour the exact amount of formula you need for each bottle (great for babies who drink an odd # of ounces or babies who have a different amount each time!).

If you’re mixing with a pitcher, make sure you are using the correct amounts of powder and water for the amount of formula you need to make.
