Description

You’ve got to love the AA. The trustworthy British motoring association has been around in 1905, three years before the Ford Model T first hit the tarmac. Comes complete with three-piece adaptor kit for balls, bike tyres and other inflatables. Also includes handy storage case. The Ring RTC2000 Cordless Handheld Tyre Inflator is a small rechargeable tyre inflator that's designed for topping up car tyres and inflating bicycle tyres, footballs (and the like) and even inflatables. It's light in weight (at roughly 500g) and comes with a two piece adaptor kit for sports equipment and Presta bike valves. There's an LED light and it also acts as a powerbank function if need be. If you're a keen cyclist, this versatile electric bike pump could be all you need for your bike and your car tyres - as well as working well for inflating balls and children's inflatables.

The well made Ryobi is easy to use, its built-in handle easily coping with the 1.4kg weight. It sits firmly on the ground and the high-volume and tyre hoses (the latter an impressive 60cm long) wrap neatly around the unit. The time was good on the regular tyre, but less so on the space-saver. Add air until you’ve reached the correct pressure, detach the inflator, and replace the valve caps. How do under inflated-tyres affect your vehicle? For over 10 years Ring has been developing portable tyre inflators. In that time, Ring has become a market leader, winning numerous product awards across the UK and Europe: From everyone’s favourite tyre maker/world renowned reviewer of restaurants is this, the Michelin Programmable Superfast 4x4/SUV Tyre Inflator, and you can tell from the get-go that it means business — it looks less than a tyre inflator than it does something from Star Trek. Or a really fancy spirit level. The AA offers vehicle insurance, breakdown cover, incredibly detailed road maps and now, car tyre inflators. For more precision, this battery-powered cordless inflator allows you to set your target pressure and when the target is hit, it will automatically cut out. There is an easy setting for the gauge, via a yellow knob underneath the display, so that you can set the correct pressure.

Comes with LED light to make night time inflation easier and safer. Also comes with 10 piece adaptor set for use with tyres, bicycle tyres, motorcycle tyres, balls, airbeds and other small inflatables. Includes case and storage for adaptors. It has a similarly futuristic design as its sister product, with its buttons in Michelin’s signature blue and yellow, while the digital LCD display clearly indicates an accurate pressure reading. Powered tyre inflators are an essential piece of maintenance equipment for any driver, helping car owners inflate or deflate the tyres on their car with ease. This leftfield unit from Sealey gets the bulk of the basics right – but often in an odd way. For instance, the generous 5m power lead means the inflator can always be positioned right by the wheel, making its 2m coiled air hose a little excessive.

Specifications

You’ll first need to remove the valve caps (remember — righty tighty, lefty loosey); then attach your tyre inflator or pressure gauge, and compare the number that appears to the recommended pressure for your tyres — more often than not displayed in psi, and usually somewhere between 30 and 35. But regardless of my thoughts on apparent faults would still recommend and buy agai n. Read full review This is an excellent and lightweight automatic pump. It is powered by a lithium-ion battery, so the mains lead is only there to charge the battery and cannot be plugged in during use. I thought I was buying a mains powered pump so was disappointed, until I realised that it has sufficient power to inflate four tyres (as long as they are not completely flat) up to required pressure, without the hassle of trailing wires.

RTC6000 Cordless Digital Tyre Inflator and Air Pump with power bank, LED and adaptors The RTC6000 digital tyre inflator can inflate a tyre in just two minutes. Can inflate a single airbed in just two minutes.

8. Halfords Essentials Analogue Tyre Inflator

Cordless digital inflator, ideal for camping and road trips. With rapid inflation capability, the RTC6000 can inflate a tyre in just two minutes, and can inflate a single airbed in two minutes with the air pump setting.
