Description

This device is powered by dual 18650 batteries (not included – find them here), which gives it the capability to vape at an incredible power output of up to 200w. Another interesting design change that Geekvape made with the Aegis X is that they moved the USB charging port to the top of the device. Selecting the screen brightness is carried out by pressing the fire button and the + or – button. The screen brightness is adjustable between 0 and 100%. Airflow is nice and smooth on the Zeus sub ohm tank, wide open it is airy but not at all turbulent and not noisy either. I like it half open, where it increases the flavour even more.

The Aegis X will be a fantastic addition to your vape arsenal or the perfect mod for someone wanting to get in to sub ohm vaping. Now here’s a feature that you’ll need the manual to figure out in a couple of months. You’re probably not going to remember it. This new Aegis continues with the use of 2 x 18650 batteries as it's power source and is touted as being capable of power delivery from 5 up to 200 watts. It has a temperature range of 100 to 315 C (200F to 600F) and a resistance range of 0.05 ohm to 3 ohm. If I used a smaller build that needed under 50 watts (like my first single round wire build), I was able to get a warm vape around the 430-440 F range. So, it hits around 10-20 degrees high, which is fine as you can adjust for taste with plenty of wiggle room. It throttles smooth and has good dry hit protection. I get a consistent vape each time, but unless you use a really low-watt MTL build you’ll find that it ramps up pretty slow compared to other mods. It’s easy enough to open, but closing it once the batteries are installed can be a little annoying. Also, again depending on your vape mode setting, while scrolling through the settings, you have access to the following: You can charge the device via the Micro USB port with a 5V/2A charge. As always I strongly recommend you remove the batteries, and use en external charger. The two coils that come with the Zeus sub ohm tank are the Mesh Z2 coil which is 0.2ohm and rated for use between 70-80W and the Mesh Z1 coil which is 0.4ohm and rated for use between 60-70W. Because of its unique safety features, this Geekvape device is perfect for vapers who lead highly active lifestyles. Besides, it is ideal for military members on deployment, hikers who will be in the wilderness for several days, and people who are active in general.

Before the Geekvape Aegis X was announced I almost convinced myself that Geekvape were done with the Aegis line. A plethora of Aegis mods have come before this. Equipped with the well-known Cerberus tank with a 2ml (TPD compliant) capacity, the Aegis X is a versatile kit that is easy to refill. The biggest difference in the Aegis X design is that it now has a huge 2.4″ color screen covering one entire side of the device.

VPC allows the vaper to control the wattage for each second of operation. Raise or lower it to get hard throat hits or mellow and pleasurable experiences. For example, allow it to run at 80 watts for a few seconds and then get it to go down to 70 and 50 watts. The wattage will go down for the remained of the vaping session. It is a customizable feature that can be modified to suit the vaper’s wants. How Long do the Coils Last? Here for me though this part of the review gets a little squiggly. Mine you see has a battery latch that just a little, by a smidge, does not sit fully flush in its recess. I call it the Credit Card test. If I flat edge the card on the base of the mod , or even a purpose made rule device, then slide it from rear towards the front it will just catch on the latch, from the other direction it catches near the mid section of the latch. Obviously this see's mine have a portion of the mod when set down rest on that section of the latch. Now I had to mention this as this is what I got and to do otherwise, not mention it and pretend its all good, I just can't do.
