It's clear they've both done a lot of work in therapy (separately and probably together) and they pay it forward to people (like myself) who are fresh on their journey and still processing. I have a great partner too and we are working on how we deal with some things together- we might use some of your tips. If you (or anyone you know) may have ADHD, you may be fooled into thinking the 'symptoms' set out by the pair are textbook when they are decidedly not.

There is ONE chapter in the book where Rich says being with Rox taught him to sometimes enjoy spending money and indulge in little things. He has worked for 20 years as a leader in one of the UK’s largest banks, with extensive experience in managing a diverse team, and helping colleagues to reach their potential.

I also think the book could have used more diversity as it’s more of a memoir of them overcoming the challenges in their own relationship that were caused by ADHD. Each chapter is set out in the same way, with an anecdote about how a certain aspect of Rox's ADHD has negatively impacted her life, then a basic therapy paragraph about how "the ADHD brain isn't wrong, just DIFFERENT, and there is nothing wrong with that! If you already know anything about ADHD you are unlikely to learn anything from this lightweight work. The book could literally be cut in half, and it would make no difference apart from making it a shorter amd slightly more enjoyable read. Luckily the lady’s patience and good nature extended to another flight the next day, which Rox managed to make.Whether it's helping your ADHDer with friendly time-checks before an appointment or reminding yourself to take breaks during hours spent hyperfocusing on a new project, Rox and Rich give you the tools to destigmatize and normalize life with ADHD. I hope it all works out for her -- but, in my experience, I suspect she's got a lot more work ahead of her. Rather than teach how to overcome and live with the challenging aspects of ADHD, it heavily relies on co-dependence.

Being a fellow neurodivergent, this book rang a lot of bells with me, as well as helping me to not feel shame for not working to society's entrenched 'norms'.

Richard Pink and his wife Roxanne Emery are often stopped in the street by fans of their social media accounts. She was on her way to cram for her actual exam tomorrow, when she heard some other students struggling with a topic she was familiar with. At the same time I would appreciate some statistics and information regarding how many people actually struggle with things in such an extreme manner.

The couple have obviously struggled with her ADHD throughout their relationship, but penning twee anecdotes based on their TikTok / Instagram content does not a book make. Both things I had been living with and struggling with for years (ADHD my whole life) without knowing what was wrong.
