And last but not least, we have Wolverine, the poster-child of the X-Men. this is one of Logan’s best minifigure variants, with yellow and blue on full display here, as well as the short blue sleeves. Here’s a comparison with the 2017 She-Hulk. The printing and design is much-improved, but I do kinda miss the simplicity of the older She-Hulk costume which is more comic-accurate.

Marvel fans will no doubt be happy with the selection, but you’ll likely be left thinking if this was the best LEGO Marvel roster for Series 2. Agatha is a great minifigure, and fans of Wandavision have been waiting a long time to get their hands on her, as she makes for a great companion to Marvel Series 1’s Scarlet Witch.

Side guide

The She-Hulk minifigure features highly detailed prints of her TV-show suit, and I really like what they’ve done with the leg printing. Next up we have Echo, aka Maya Lopez, who featured in Hawkeye and will also have her own series on Disney+ in November 2023. Echo is one of the most impressive minifigures in this series with incredible detailing across her entire body. Now that it’s out of the way, this is a pretty decent licensed Minifigures Series, with some questionable choices with the lineup of characters. It’s always a difficult balancing game when the IP holder, in this case, Marvel usually dictates what characters get included, and when many of the planned 2023 releases have been delayed like What If.. and Agatha: Coven of Chaos, it does mean that you’re left with some characters that feel out of place. Of course, that's a lot of 'ifs,' so don't go counting any bird-skulled Egyptian deities before they hatch - but there's plenty of comic book evidence to contribute to that line of thought.

Also slightly miffed they didn’t include a tile for the photo frame so we could re-create the Sad Wolverine meme! Joining Hawkeye is also Hawkeye, also known as Kate Bishop who is played by Hailee Steinfeld in the Disney+ series. It’s a superb minifigure and also one that fans of the MCU will welcome given the fairly positive reception to the series.Unfortunately the spray job on Wolverine’s mask isn’t the greatest and there are splotches near the edges. Joining Moon Knight is Mr. Knight, another one of Marc Spector’s alter-egos. Eschewing Egyptian mummy garb for a more distinguished 3-piece suit, Mr. Knight is a more cerebral and levelled alter-egos and is dressed accordingly with a white mask, and sharp suit, all in monochrome white. This is the second LEGO Marvel minifigures series and a sequel to Marvel Series 1 which released in 2021.

So when Moon Knight was announced I was pretty underwhelmed. He's a little known character and, while that doesn't always mean an uninteresting one, that paired with the darker, more horror-ish tone meant it was nowhere near the top of my to-watch list, even with always-solid Oscar Isaac in the lead. Mr. Knight’s appearance isn’t as impressive as Moon Knight’s but more than meets the brief and is a nice companion to the vastly superior Moon Knight. We get a hint as to what this might be when Steven has a 'dream' that sees him in foreign climes taking on Arthur Harrow (a wonderfully smarmy Ethan Hawke) who, along with his accolytes, is very keen to snatch a golden scarab beetle icon from Grant's hands. After a stuttery series of almost-fight scenes Grant is ankle deep in dead and injured hench people - until he wakes up. But was he asleep or did it really happen? We start to get the beginning of an answer when Ethan Hawke pops up in the museum while Steven is pricing up some tourist tat. Like other characters in this series, we’re treated to a highly detailed minifigure and I especially like the fur detailing throughout his body, with printing across his arms, legs and the side of his legs. In that story, Khonshu unleashes a horde of minions led by a newly powered-up Marc Spector/Moon Knight in a quest to conquer the Earth after being driven mad by visions of the demon Mephisto causing a terrible cataclysm.

What is Moon Knight about?

He comes with a pair of truncheons and a goldfish accessory, a nod to the first episode of Moon Knight which is titled The Goldfish Problem. The She-Hulk minifigure was only ever released once in 76078 Hulk vs. Red Hulk from 2017, and it’s been one of the rarer and more expensive characters on the aftermarket, but now this re-issue should enable fans to not have to overspend to get her. It’s a new chapter in LEGO Minifigures history with the long-awaited launch of LEGO Marvel Minifigures Series 2, and I’ve written an early review of this exciting new series aimed at fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The cape looks great, and so is her brand new wig, which has her hair styled up as a mohawk, which looks fantastic and contrasts very nicely against her darker complexion.
